BC coilovers installed, creaking?

I installed bc coilovers yesterday and I'm noticing creaking on turns/bumps. Is this normal because it needs time to settle in, or did I mess something up? I believe I read something about this being normal, but I can't seem to find where I've read that.
Thanks.

Edit; The creaking is coming from the rear only when i go slow. I think it's from the rear springs since the tops are metal on metal? I'm assuming this is normal then.

Yes, everything is nice and tight. How is the thread worthless without pics? What am I suppose to take pictures of?

welcome to coilovers...I have had coilovers on 2 vehicles and both were noisy. Just the sound of the spring against the perch is what you are hearing (I believe).

okay, thankyou so much for the input. I was slowly starting to give up because I had no idea what was causing the problem. I'm assuming I hooked it up correctly with the rear springs going, Top spring perch, adjusting spring piece(weird that there's no rubber piece between these two?), spring, rubber on the bottom of the spring(they were on my h&r lowering springs and seemed right to separate two metal pieces), and then the bottom spring perch.

mine were a little noisy the first week but after that they were fine, check your endlinks

Coilovers

I believe you get what you pay for with coilovers. I feel the difference is in the manufacturing tolerances, adjustability for both ride height and damper travel.

For the price, @ $1,000, they will suffice for street driving and looks but for track driving, I would be skeptical. I mean how would they feel and hold up entering a road course turn at around 100 mph?

I bought KW coilovers for my Mustang for $3,000. They don't creak. Others at the track spend around $5,000 for Penske and more for Ohlins.

If I lower my MS3, then I'll probably go with Mazda coilovers, a well reviewed product for @ $2,000.

Perhaps BC can offer some advise about the creaking noise or a professional garage or suspension shop can help.

This is JMO, it sounds like the only thing your unhappy about is the noise. I broke my coilovers in over supermarket speed bumps. I would run them at very slow speeds and inch over them then run at them with higher speeds to jump over them. After a couple days they sagged down or broke in to a nice ride height level. Maybe they stop creaking after break-in.

Good Luck!

the mazdacoilovers are rebranded kw's. While KW's are great, theyre not exactly perfect for a DD. I have BCs on my 3 as well and i have had no issues whatsoever. I thought i did but it was my endlinks. A lot of times after such a large install its easy to have a bolt loose or not tighten one enough, which on your suspension, will cause creaks, clunks, etc.

Bc's are awesome for street and definately could handle the track every now and then. People always bash them, but they never ran them. Plus their adjustability is better than most options out there, the front camber is a big plus.

So make sure you checked your endlinks and make sure the springs seated correctly and all the locking rings on them are tight
