Hey everyone its that time again and I am just wondering who else will be attending battle of the imports this year, in joliet. There is a decent group of us coming from Des Moines so just seeing who is all going to be there and who is going to be running. We are staying in Naperville so hit me up Emad..

its the 18th i believe...what kinda info is avalable for this ...show ? fee? where its gonna be held?

You guys are from Chicago and don't know about Battle? Im just giving ya crap but it is a Saturday and Sunday event in Joliet, Ill. It is a fun filled weekend of some really fast imports. We had a blast last year and am excited about this years events. If you would like some more info on battle go to www.route66raceway.com (enguard)

The only Hondas and Toyotas I wanna see in Joliet anytime soon is the IRL race this Sunday......

....and that's probably the reason why I have tickets for the race :D

IRL Race x 1 > Battle of the Imports x 1,000,000,000 x infinity

NEW motor?!?! im already scurred of your car.....

AEBS sleeved block
93mm 11:1 C/R pistons
Stock crank
Pauter rods
Custom ground cams (bout 270's, around .5 lift)
Custom springs
Polk Performance race port head
1mm oversized Inconel valves
Polk Performance sheet-metal intake manifold
AEBS header
3" mandrel bent exhaust
TEC III stand alone engine management
Hotshot cold air intake
BS removal kit
Pulleys
JWT clutch and flywheel

This will yield a 2.7 liter that will rev to 7000rpm.

I'm not impressed. Give me some good old American muscle. Drop a Hemi into your Nissan. Then I'll be impressed.

j/k :-P

that motor should be good for about 250-260 PEAK hp, but with a powerband that will allow murder of many many cars. even though it will be a simple autoX/road race car, it should be deep into the 12's on slicks. hows that for your hemi compare-o?

seriously, i'm pretty excited about everything but the impending wallet ****.

Sounds like a good deal. That QR25DE is a nice little motor.

How are you going to put all that down to the pavement? Any front suspsension/tranny mods for the FWD beast?

Lots of hp/tq + no traction = ghey = Colt Vista (w/o turbo :D)

theres a thread in the NA forum here about the complete build. i'll be using 235/40/17 a032-r's and a track setup of jic flt-a2's valaved to accomodate the resulting 850-860lb springs.

Personally I would rather see battle than a bunch of cars going around in a circle!

lol, thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard.

i dont remember the last road race i had in a circle.

and for comparison, i'd rather go to nhra nationals than see a bunch of 15 second imports.

Road Racing > import drag racing x 10^90

Anyway, Very nice car Yell03SpecV! Its one thing to make a turbo car fast, but its another to build up an N/A car.
