Honestly nothing described by OP indicates there’s a parasitic draw or battery drain-out problem to me.
Same here. Sounds like the dealership tech just said that to sell @sunchips a battery.
@sunchips, I'm going to assume you live in Canada since Motomaster is a Canadian Tire brand. For future reference, don't buy a battery from there. Instead, buy from Costco if you or someone you know has a membership. They have batteries there that are just as good, but cheaper and come with a much better warranty that is way easier to use. Last time I replaced a Kirkland battery with their warranty, I brought the battery to the Returns desk. They refunded the cost of a new battery to my card. Then I walked into the store to buy a replacement. Easy.
The liftgate issue is a weird one. What happens when you try to open the liftgate when it isn't working? Does the car beep at you multiple times, or does it give you a long beep like normal? Can you hear the locking mechanism working if you try to open the liftgate when it isn't working? Is it just completely silent?
Brake issue sounds like there's a possible vacuum leak. When you start the car, does the brake pedal feel go back to normal? Seems to be a fairly common issue after doing a quick Google search, but nothing comes up related to the CX-5 specifically.
