ok, so should we ban everyone who voices their opinion? As mentioned, don't join in if you don't want to. Politics is something that can inflame a whole lot of people- but by hearing differing points of view, hopefully we learn something.

If everyone who voiced their opinion was banned, there would be no one here. I know I sure as **** wouldn't be. Don't ban the guy, so all he does is post in political threads, who the **** cares, some people only post in Mazdaspeed threads...who the **** cares...other than Matthew.lol. Matt is posting about how he is sick of fighting for this country when there are people like DigitalDuality who don't appreciate the sacrifices he has to make. I can't say I blame him. Why not just spit in his face? DigitalDuality just whipped his nut on Matthews pillow while he was away in a foreign hellhole risking his life to protect that same man's rights.

We should be throwing flowers on the ground before our soldiers....instead they are often the most underpaid, under employed, and underappreciated civilians. It's very disheartening. Matthew knows he's protecting this guys right to say what he wants, but he's asking the man to have a sense of decency about who's face he throws his opinions in.

its nothing to do with anything opinion or political or whatever related. its the fact that he joined and discusses things SIMPLY to stir up problems, and has never contributed nor does he intend to contribute to this forum.

But maybe that is the point, you're letting his opinions bother you, sure, he talks some smack, so do you, me, everyone at some point has. Sure, some don't start off talking smack, till they've gotten it, but not everyone is as perfect as you . Just don't take it so seriously man, maybe he's like turbomattyp who forgets to put J/k after some things(I only put this, cause I remember you saying it...k?), or maybe he's like me, and doesn't give a **** what other poeople think/say, but i have some respect for feelings. What I have seen is that he joined to have interesting political discussions, which I enjoy as well. Name calling(hmmm where have I seen that) and stirring up problems(seen that too) No, I can't agree with that. He posts contriversial issues and that is contributing.

I understand the part about Matthew being a soldier, I'm just saying, maybe be positive, and think he should be proud that digitalduality can voice his opinions, I know I would be. I don't neccasarily agree with the reason he's fighting, but appreciate that what the soldiers of USA do, they should be proud, even if it is for the fact, some assholes can voice their opinion(yes, I am one of those assholes, cept Canadian, but I think you american soldiers helped as much as our soldiers)

I will be the first to say that I support our soldiers matty- they are doing a great service to protect our way of life. Disagreeing with the actions of the leaders that have ordered them into action however is a whole different story, which is where I am coming from.

i can certainly understand and appreciate peoples ideas that we should not be at war, and i can admit that i am offended by his words against my commander in chief, as well as my country most times. but i just disagree with him coming soley here to troll. the only reason i talk to him is to hopefully correct his misinformation so that one day he may understand that some of the things he says are incorrect and based on incorrect information. as a soldier who has been to combat i can relate a lot of what i feel is valuble information as far as a REAL perception, not some CNN bulls***.

btw, i swear and name call like a motherfucker too, so i cant really comment on that. when i get a sensitive subject (and liars and non-patriotic mofos being about the only two) i go off.

hear hear Shinzen, I also do not approve of the decisions made by our current president but I will ALWAYS support our troops. That should be the end of the conversation. Be gratefull we're living in a country where we're allowed to criticize our president. Adolf Hitler received the worlds longest standing ovation because everyone was scared to be the first to stop clapping. I believe (if memory serves) the ovation was 52 minutes....

If you had said solely for political discussions, I would agree with you. I hope that you can understand that there is a difference between being against the current administration and being against america. Still waiting to apologize for WMD's. There are things that are said on both sides that are wrong, but nobody apparently wants to listen at all. I respect that you have been in combat, but that doesn't make you any more qualified to judge political issues than my next door neighbor. I will post more in the morning after some quality sleep.

Yes, it was roughly 52 minutes...it's the soldiers who give us(Canadian and American alike) the right to speak against our presidents and prime ministers. The soldiers do not choose their battles, they merely fight them...there is nothing wrong with that. Many Germans who faught for Nazi Germany, would not have fought, had it been for the fear. Not all of them were bad, just the ones with power. All soldiers, fight for their country, and that is what makes them noble, whether the cause is right wrong or questionable. All soldiers have my respect, lest they commit hainus(sp?) acts while in duty/service.Though, propaghanda sometimes has issues regarding that.

i have met some of the canadians, and they seem to be good people. very kind natured and laid back. reminds me of many of the british i met during the war.

You have no idea how laid back we are. Oh, and we have an army, but they are mostly on peace keeping, and cleanup duties...they clean up the mess. We did fight with the AMerican soldiers, but we only have like 4 ships in our Navy, and just recently, I bleived we aquired I first submarine....used, and not working. I could be wrong though(I am a little uniformed on our military up here...we kinda snow that part of the news out, and stick to hockey and politics)lol
