I just painted right over it.. and when its halfway dry.. my buddy sprayed a little brake cleaner on a paper towel and u can wipe the paint right away. It's a lot easier than masking tape and works a hell of a lot better.

And yes, I'm taking out the yellow lens, painting the gray plastic black, I painted my blinker bulb silver so the lens looks clear.

I cut the 12v power to the blinker bulb... so when you turn the headlights on, the amber bulb is off instead of being dim. And when it blinks.. its bright off bright off etc. instead of being bright dim bright dim.

Replaced the fog lights and headlights with street glow xenon white bulbs.. wanted to change the sidemarker bulbs to hyper white, but couldn't find any.... but it's ok cuz they're white anyways, and the lense will be gone. Ok, I gotta get back to work. :)

msp headlights are already black housing ???

Are you asking a question or making a statement. The headlights are more charcoal grey. Def not black. Don't you have an MSP. :wtf:

OK, how did you do this? Which wire did you lose? I tryed to get mine to flash like that, but all they did was flash really fast like.

Why do you keep moving my posts

because an appearance mod belongs in the appearance section

and about it being charcoal grey, i used a can of "black" spray paint and it matched the stock housings perfectly. i think its a matter of perception about the stock color, i am still going with they are black, they appear "grey" because the surface is not glossy, get what im saying?

Nope, they're definately dark gray just like on the new Protege sedans. Unless the 03s are different or your car is a freak accident, they're not black.

i used a can of BLACK paint on my left headlight and it matches the right one PERFECTLY so explain that one to me.

look.. if u dun care about this s***, then dont read it, dont post how stupid u r with that noboady cares crap, cuz to some peeps, they do care... so lay off and back off... dont read and post if u cant say anything helpful or nice... :wtf:

You need a volt meter thing-a-ma-jig. Keep your car on, and keep the headlights on and the blinker on. Try the meter on each one of the connectors... you need to clip the one that stays at 12v.. the other one will go up and down when the blinker would be flashing.. and the other one is like .05v which is the ground (the black one) Clip the 12v wire and put electrical tape around it.. that's all u need to do.

I want to know what steps u took to seperate the headlights? I want to do the same thing, please let me know b/c i'm really interested.

Can't wait to see the outcome of your headlights:confused:
