Backup camera foged up..

"Fogged"

Does anyone else have this problem?

It has been cold lately in louisville KY.

It has at times been quite usless to use for backing up.

I never noticed this on other cars i have driven with a backup camera.

is it fog or moisture build up inside?
if it's just fogging, it could be the temperature difference caused by the exhaust.

Were you not able to wipe it off the back? I have had other cars with backup cameras get foggy and dirty before. The real problem would be if you couldn't wipe it off and it was on the inside of the lens.

Havent noticed fog, but have noticed snow buildup/water drops on it. I get out, clear it off, and I'm good.

I pull out from a dry 60F heated garage and it will fog up by the time i reach mcdonalds for breakfast. About 3:30 when i pull out of my parking spot at work it clears up but not always. I think mine might be defective.

Is the moisture inside? You can't just wipe it off? Mine fogged up after the rain and I just wiped it off.

as many members have mentioned...if the moisture is inside, and you can't wipe it off, definitely an issue with the seal.

It is clean on the outside, I think mine might have a bad seal.
I just have to pick a good day to take it to the dealer and prove that i have a problem, and that sucks.

the best is to take either a video footage and or pictures to show to them =) good luck...
