killed me to sell the thing but it went to a good place. its sitting in bataan, republic of the philippines in the WW II museum. two years ago i had gotten most of it together, orig parts from all over the place. most from europe.
was in mindoro last year in puerto gaelera doing some diving. was talking with the resort owner, an ex pat from california. he notice my dive bag, jeep bag. his brother works with the philippine govt so he got me in touch with him. my grand father was in manila, stationed there for a couple of years. told him i wanted to hit all the stuff including the national cemetary and lay some flowers for the unknown. so this guy that works for the govt got me a behind the scenes tour of a lot of WW II stuff in the area.
that went to talk of my jeep, seeing the stuff there. from that it got to sending pics to him, to him flying to the states then to a deal. so now its gone. kinda sucks but id rather see it be working, taken care of by staff rather than it gets sold in the stats to someone who might take in on a trail and trash the sh*t out of it.
