Back From Germany...Car Pics

Hey All,

I just got back from a weeklong trip to Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg and thought I'd share pics of some of the E-Spec Mazda's I spotted. I threw in a few Porsche pictures, my MB 220 CL Wagon rental, and various other makes including a 360 Modena convertible. I was also lucky enough to spot a Tuscan 6, but was unable to get my camera out in time (damn)!

It was pretty cool to see in person, some of the Mazda's that our friends across the pond get to drive.

You mean Poo-go? I'll rock an MB any day before a 306. That 220CL wagon was solid as a rock. Even with the diesel, it was a fun car to drive.

Despite most peoples impressions, there are speed limits on the autobahn and still congestion to contend with. A faster car wouldn't have negated the other factors that limited my speeds. The autobahn is a hell of alot of fun...even cruising at just over160Kmh I was getting passed like I was standing still. More than anything...driving was a pleasure. Trucks stayed right...and no one left lane hogged. No billboards to distract drivers...everyone paid attention. Glad I had the chance to drive among the best, most efficient drivers in the world!

I saw a documentary about the autobaun before. Driving would be so much more of a pleasure if some people around here adapted the whole slower traffic keep right idea.

I thought it was funny that the guy that was narrating it slowed down when he saw a cop while the locals flew past them both like they were standing still. lol. Habit I guess.

What passed you when you were doing 160?

It was a nice, needed vacation. I showed Jeremy the pics of the Porsches and he liked em. We're all Porsche fanatics in our family (we have two), so we always like to see anything that comes out of Stuttgart.

Believe it or not...it was a VW Passat wagon. I saw more wagons (Audis, VW's, Mercedes, BMW, and Opels) than anything. Wagons are the SUV's of Europe it seems. SUV's are nearly non-existent, which was fine by me.

Damn foreigners have all the cool rides. Totally unrelated to the topic: but I have guys come in and ask me when Nissan will be releasing the skyline in the states. I hear rumors that they might in the next few years, but its a rumor. For now they can dream.

Now that you mention it, it does kinda resemble a VW. When you said passat, the new VW SUV came to mind. Not sure why. But thanks for sharin your pictures with us, it just makes me want to travel more.

Next time you go, pack me with your luggage!

Yup...pops has a 911 Turbo-bodied Carrera with a whale-tail, and Moms has a 944. Both fun cars in their own respect. My father was there on business and asked if I'd like to join him...so naturally, I accepted.

I see Porshces like that every day by my school. I saw a 360 today & one of the Competition models last week (with the white stripes & racing wheels). I got this pic on the way to school this morning:

Did the military send him over? Isnt he retiring soon. My dad is at the same base (well Eglin area, different field), hes angry because they wont let him go.

Its a beemer! God I love the way those cars look. Damn now Im all excited. lol. I love cruisin sarasota and ft lauderdale, just to see the rich drive their cars and stare at mine.

A girl I graduated with got a Dodge Viper as her graduation present. She was bitchin to me about the color. Im like you're driving an 80 thousand dollar car with out payments or insurance (daddy would never let her pay) and all you can do is b**** about the color? Lets just say Im glad I dont have to deal with her anymore.

In response to the guy that was talking about the skyline comeing to the states in i believe it was 2006 or 08 that they will be realeasing the new R34 into the states very bad ass car if i had the link to the site i saw that on id send it to ya but thier ya go im already saving up haha

Yeah, the smart cars would be a little scary on an interstate. I almost fell over when I first saw em. I'd still rock one...put some hot ass 13's on it, and pimp it!

My father retires next month. I didn't realize you were a Military-brat also!

ha ha. I told Miah to put some 13 wire wheels on the Mr2 and put it on hydros, ride around town pickin up chicks on 3 wheels. (evil)(naughty)

Aweeeeee yeah. I used to visit my dad all the time. hes commin down in may for my brothers graduation. Went to McDill not long ago for my new id.

Tripp thanks for the info. Im not sure whats going to happen. I dont plan to be workin at Nissan still if they will be released then. Damn looks like I dont get to drive one
