B&M Short Throw Shifter review....

If you figure out how to remove the front Bronzeoil's I'm listening. Everything is so tight I can't get that bolt out.

I was actually planning on keeping the front Bronzoils and just replace the shifter ones (keep the "extra" two for replacement, God knows when that may be needed...)..

Well, I ordered a 4-pack (NY4) of the Nyoils today; should be here next week. I'll let you know how that fairs; I'll decide when I get under there and pull 'em off.

Do the other bushings actually make the shift smoother as well as removing play? I love how short the b&m is in my car but it is not nearly as smooth as the other ones i have felt in some of my friends car. The clicking sound going from each gear is awsome, but its so stiff. I know it said not to lube the ball on the shifter, but has anyone else greased it up to try to smooth it out?

Did it explicitly say not to lubricate the shifters pivot point?
Try loosening the bolt on the bottom of the shifter, and retorquing it to spec.

Welcome Chris.

He's the one I bought the Nyoil shifter bushings from.

There's really no need to lubricate as the "ball" (pivot) itself is made from Bronzoil (or some related alloy - self lubricating over the life of the shifter anyway - do the math with B&M's Million Mile Warranty).

Secondly, there's really not any place for the grease/lube to go; there isn't a grease fitting or other means of effectively delivering grease/lube to that pivot point.

As pigeon alluded to, it's more likely to be the bolt at the bottom of the shifter and/or the bushings than it is the shifter itself.
