Black Mica Mazdaspeed 3 GT
So, the time is coming for me to look in to some new wheels and tires.
I have a 2008 black mazdaspeed 3 on stock height and am considering the Axis super hiro's in black with red pinstripe.

They're 18x8.5" and +35 offset and I know they'll stick out but I like that aggressive look.

My question is will they fit on stock height?

And if so what tires should I run so that I won't rub. I'm thinking either 235s or if they'll rub then 225s stretched.

any opinions?

Be prepared to do some serious rolling....not doobies bro.

Not even sure you can get away with that offset.

I know madvillian ran an 18x9 et30 with 255s and he's on coils.. I wanna run these on stock height with 235s.. I will roll my rear fenders and get hubcentric rings I just wanna know if theyll fit

they will fit on easily w/ no rubbing of any kind. The rears will need rolled if your going to lower it any of course. Go with the 235 tire too!! im running 18 x 8 +35 w/225 and no issues

I'm definately gonna get them.. And if I go lowered it'll be on ms springs or cobb.. Ms coils in the future.. But yeah man I'm super psyched, I'm gonna roll my rear fenders and put them on with 235s

If I'm on stock height with the 18x8.5 et35 super hiro's (235/40/18 falkens) , am I gonna have to mess with camber at all?

Camber only needs to be adjusted if you lower it past a certain point...when the tires are tilted in toward the strut.

im running axis halos, i need to roll my rear fenders plenty of clearence up front

yeah you'll be fine, i wouldnt worry about it. you will have to roll your rear fenders, and you may need to trim up that pinch weld in the rear fender wells where the bumper attaches to the quarter panel.

p.s., dont go with black & red striped wheels, so booooring.

Go with what you like who cares what they like!

That's awesome, hope it works out for you. I am looking into getting a set of 18x8.5 in the future, and that dude with the 18x9 with a 35 offset, the rims looked great and the car looked really aggressive. It will be nice not spinning the tires all in first and second gear

i'm running an 18x8.5 38mm 225/40/18 with cobbs and i'm not rubbing at all. it's perfectly flush to tell you the truth with the 35 offset the front might stick out like 2-3 mm not a whole lot to worry about. i just rolled my backs just in case cause i take a lot of stuff in my hatch good luck and hope to see pics soon

What shocks/ springs are you on?

I am on 16x8s +38 stock height, with 215/60/16s with no rubbing unless its really cold out then I get a random sound on bumps in the back. I am on winter tires for now but I am looking to get some 225/55s or 235/50 on by spring, I hope I don't rub. Anyone else have this setup and rubs?
