AWR Rear Competition Engine Mount

Anyone have this yet? I was thinking about getting it, but wanted to know if anyone else has it yet how how they liked it.

On my MSP, I liked the performance of the Front MM by AWR, but the Rear MM caused a lot of vibration, which I do NOT want in the MS6.

Protegegarge.com is the only place I have seen it so far.

tony has assured me its a very nice piece which is not too harsh for street usage. did you use the front alone and then the front and rear together on the msp? using them in tandem will definetely increase vibration. this mount on its own would feel akin to the front mount on its own on the msp

On the MSP, I used the front alone for about 10K. I liked that. Then I had the Rear put in with the front, and it was horrible.

If this is equal to just the front, I might pick one up.

Do you happen to know the difficulty on installation on this?

I know the front was a piece of cake for the MSP, like a 20 minute job. But the rear on the MSP was at least a 2hr job.

I can not give you a for sure on the vibration i can give you a pretty good guess on the install in a bit (after inspection of a car first hand)

I need to know what it is like, so I hope someone has this or has tested it will chime in.

I also want to know how hard the install is, since the rear on the MSP is a pain in the butt.

I'm sure it has been tested in a few cars (usual process of manufacturing new products) and i have heard threw the grape vine that it is similar to the AWR front mm in the MSP

I hear its pretty easy to install. Interested in this as well but dont know how much shipping would be to Canada for me. If total cost is reasonable i will order. Guess i will wait for a response or email em.

Too be honest if the specs I have been given by AWR are correct this might be a little stiffer than most are looking for on their everyday cars...

I do think the price of the piece and the quality of the piece are just superb, but its already been shown that a stiff mount on the Speed6 causes a very rough idle...

Do you know anything about the install? If it is pretty easy, I might try it out just to see if I can handle it or not. But if it is a 2 hour install, I won't bother.

Remember, we had the same thing in the MSP's. The mount (Ride) is probably what prompted me to trade it in for the MS6. Then again... maybe you should buy it, and they you could trade the MS6 in for a M3 (Bmw).

I'm gonna go ahead and pick up those Megan Racing springs, and tint the windows. That will be it for this year. lol

Exactly....I didn't mind the front MM at all, but the rear was pretty bad.

LOL...right. This then that then that then this. I bought this car and was not going to mod it at all. That lasted about 1 week.

Just get it and try it. The install is VERY easy, it might take you 30 minutes if you take your time.
