AWR Racing end links..

Anyone have these? I have had these installed for about three week's. Front and rears. They really improve the handling more than I thought. But, they make some serious noise over every little bump. I've tried everything from grease to rubberbands to keep them quiet, but no luck. I even upgraded to stronger eye bolts, and still it's noisy. I don't want to remove them, because they work great, just too damn noisy. I'm going to see if Tony at AWR will let me visit him in SD so he can look at them and tell me what's up. I will keep you all posted.

Hey, I think I read somewhere MAZDADAN has these as well on the rear of his car. Are you hearing anything, MAZDADAN?

Thanks'

Patrick

It's funny you mention this, because back in the day I mentioned to Tony that the stock end links were not compatible with the AWR sway bar. He was pleasant to deal with over the phone, but wasn't very helpful. What I ended up doing was fabricating my own end links with rod ends and threaded rod. This corrected all of my problems. My endlinks make a few noises here and there, but it's not bad at all. My rod ends have nyloy (a special nylon) bushings in them. I also replaced the sway bar bushings with greasable Energy Suspension bushings.

See the funny thing is that AWR came out with the 21.5mm sway bar right after all of these problems and now they are making their own endlinks. I guess they finally realized they had a problem, but they still haven't fixed it. As wonderful as AWR's products are, they probably could use more R+D before being released.

LittleRedWagon5, I don't have any spare materials because I made 1 set, but I ordered the rod ends from www.tperformance.com and the stainless threaded rod from www.use-enco.com. I used all 3/8" fine threaded stuff.

The misc. hardware (bolts and stuff) I picked up at a local hardware store.

i've got the awr 21mm bar with the awr end links, no problem, work excellent!!

See, instead of correcting problems with their existing products, AWR releases new stuff. The 21.5mm bar uses different end links from the 19mm bar, so i'm sure that's why they work so well. Oh well...enough of my ranting...lol.

I too have these links on my 2001LX ,yes they are noisy . There are for race applications so the're bound to be noisy ,metal on metal .
They do work great ,I am getting Tony to send me 5.5" barrels for the rears as I am using a MP3 rear bar . I also had Tony make me a new set of rear trailing arm to replace the stock C cahnnel ones ,this got rip of the rearend float at high speed .

Could it be easier to just box the existing rear trailing arms in rather than replace them, or would tubular ones be stronger all together.

I could have boxed the stock one if I hadn't bent them ,plus i was worried about heat stress while welding in the box plates.
