AWR Motor Mount Initial Review

The only time I had a clunk was when I would shift hard into second and spun the wheels, and it sounded like it came from the passanger side of the car. Ive spun the wheels a few times when shifting into second and havent heard that clunk since the mount has gone in.

Sorry to go o\t again but does it ever seem that there is only like a half dozen people that ever post??!! lol I was doing the nightly browse session and its always the same guys responding.

yeah, its true, the regs with no life (i.e. me, damn i need a girlfriend) and then the occasional others......I wish I could get more feedback on this but I dont think many people have this mount yet. I still have enough feedback from you to want to order it though

Its sad, I get excited when I see a new post. At work its usually pretty boring and I always have my laptop with me, so I spend most my time at work on here or browsing the sweet stuff on ebay...

but jesus.....6k launches? I have never even considered launching at that rpm......3-3.5k at best

Yeah 6k sounds like an aweful amount of wheel spin or burning the hell out of your clutch. ~4k with a quick clutch out is the highest ive gone, im scurred.

About launching at 6k.....ive done it b4. its all smoke from the wheels. I have the spec clutch tho so if i burn that up ill be really surprised.

I notice that also. Part of it is just these forums. There aren't any new parts for our cars, so there is nothing new to talk about. It sucks that mazdas aren't the most mod friendly cars. Wait a sec, I don't even have a 3.

I know the feeling. There has been so many times where I stopped myself from posting just random crap just out of sarcasm, but I usually end up just leaving it be.

back to somewhat on topic, I filled my stock mount today with some liquid nails lol, so when that firms up ill be putting that in and seeing how that works out.

(bump) cuase i just installed my awr today.... i had a hard time trying to fit the new mount in... was really surprised how easy it was to move the engine once i got the old one out. that part was pretty easy, getting the new one in was a real pain, took a bit more then i thought, and i had to use the jack to push the mount back in its spot...

deffinatly notice a difference starting it up and at idle, just a small vibration at speed i hardly notice it... it also seems to have changed my exhuast note a bit... did you notice this as well?

Yeah, specially when at idle, its like the resonance of the car merges with exhaust note and sounds different.

I drilled a few holes in the AWR cuz the vibration finally annoyed me after being stuck in traffic for 4 hours the other night. Cut down alot of vibration and still has the smooth shifting =)

did you really.... thats kinda funny, i am picturin you bein pissed off and goin out there with a drill and just goin to town... the vibration doesn't seem to bad but i did just install it today, and the shifting does deffinaltly seem a bit smoother, can't wait to get my short throw in.

oh i get a big grin now when i start my car it kinda has this wierd buck and rumble now to it... kinda mean sounding... so far i am lovin the new mount!

Can i put these on my automatic mazda 3 or are these just for the manual???
