Actually, high flows are ok. Problem is that the Protege has 2. So, if you remove the pre-cat (at the front of the engine under the stock manifold), you DO get bumped to STX.

E. Catalytic converters may be replaced by aftermarket units. Replacements
must:
1) Be certified for use in that vehicle application by the manufacturer or reconditioner,
2) Bear correct EPA-mandated labeling,
3) Be of the OE quantity and type (i.e. oxidation, three-way, etc.)
and
4) Be used in the same location(s) as the OE converter(s). This does allow for high performance replacements, provided they meet all restrictions herein.

I'm not sure how this rule affects cars with multiple cats. Can you replace multiple?

hmm... after looking at my exhaust oday while i was adjusting my suspension, i noticed my cat back is 3 pieces... from the midpipe it's: Resonator -S Pipe- Muffler... i could unbolt the s pipe from the resonator and it'd be way behind the front seat... it's pretty loud, and sound really good, to me.... i dont think the neighbors did too much, except the guy down the street who owns a bike cuz i heard loud revving a minute later... i hope that if i do that i wont get weird looks because only cars in like SM and up sound like that... but it's not like im winning my class, i'm still a rookie... i dont want to run with the big dogs just yet...

btw... is anyone else running automatic or that SportAT?? just wondering...

haha I was about to ask if your car had 4 wheel capabilities until I saw the 3rd pic. Judging by the other 2, it appears you're limited to 3

First lap was good but the second lap I got nervous with a vette ever so often showing up in my rear view mirror. Then the battery's' went on the GoPro(wedge)

did I enjoy it?? hell yeah!! class champion last year with the track record for my class in the no other P5 baby.

just need to bring Duracell battery's for the GoPro camera instead of the super bad ones they give you in the box that it comes with. It clams 58 min of recording like that on one memory card. but never says s*** about the battery's only lasting like 10 min, or in this case 4

next vid will be of gingerman. already started saving up. its only 60 for test and tune but at 4.75 per gallon of diesel..... I got a ways to go.

yup. 1.30.8. Was trying to get under 1.30 this year but I did a whole bunch of stuff to the car so I need to learn how to drive it again. I dont drive it on the street so seat time is pretty valuable. I will have to test and tune a few times before I can go back and try for a better time again.(drive)

I ran a GSL-SE in CP (CS Solo2 car then) for most of the 90's...was runing 1.32's as I recall.
