im taling about regular cars, wagons n stuf
I've seen a late-80s Jetta do a 1/4 flip and slide on its side, and I've seen a Volvo come very close after locking up and drilling a curb/island. The Volvo was like a seesaw when it came to rest on top of the island. I had pics on my old computer, but I can't find them on this one.

This apparantly happened at Nationals back in 2000. An ES Saturn.

I saw an E30 BMW do the same thing at Peru, IN.

The only car I saw go over was a VW Rabbit. The few others I've heard of have all been high CG cars (Focus, older VWs and some version of older Honda)

The saturn is real. That is what happens to soft suspensions on R compound tires. Remember that it is on concrete also. Concrete and R comps equal insane grip.

It's usually not steady state cornering that does it. It takes a transition from one side to the other. The MS3 probably has too good a stock suspension to allow anything like that to happen. Give me a stock Cavalier, brand new 225 Hoosiers, and some concrete and I could probably get it up on two wheels.

Philly Winter Autocross

First AX in the Protege. Finished 10th (Last...) in class in STS. In my defense, the car is still stock except for a 19mm Racing Beat rear swaybar. It was maybe 25 degrees, and the wind was blowing about 30-40mph. I ran the car with the stock tires & suspension, the Bridgestone all-season 195/55-15's. The car had NO traction.

It's time for new tires, at least. Between now and the next event I'd like to at least get new springs & shocks mounted up. (waiting for the UPS truck for a used set of MSP springs). Probably won't get tires till spring; debating whether to get summer tires & swap them, or get dedicated AX rims.

gd that just looks hellatiously cold. Was it your 1st auto-x, or just the car's?

Car's first, my second. I did one last year in a 94 Protege DX, before I wrapped it around a light pole.

Awesome man... I do most all of the events at Ripken, but I don't do the winter series UNLESS it's snowing.
