2003.5 Ms Protege'
Got everything installed. Rpm's now reading correct and car select set
to 2 cylinders 4 speed and throttle type to northeast. But it will not
boost past .5 and I have it set to .7. I got it to boost to .58 but that was
with the cylinder setting to 4 which cause the rpms to read incorrectly.
Does anybody have this thing working right on thier msp. Please help
I want it to boost correctly and to waht I set it at.

when you go into the boost settings just under the boost pressure is the duty, you need to keep increasing that number in small increments until you get it to hold to the setting you want

I had the exact same problem with mine

I had it all they way up at 80% duty and still no rise in boost.
but I will try increasing in small increments from 30

Yeah it was probably so high that it just threw it off, I belive that for mine at 11psi I have mine set to .8 and around 38% duty.

Ok no luck it will not go above .5 I have no clue as to why either
Is there somthing under the hood I should have disconnected in
addition to installing the valve and pressure sensor.

are you sure that the selonid is not connected backwards? that would probably do it

What do you mean by backwards do you have a pick or somthing.
I have com port connected to the wastegate and the other port
connected to the spot where the wastegate was t'd into.

i had a similar problem with mine ... boost would to up to like 9psi and drop down to 5 and stay there, regardless of what i set it to. The 2 hoses were connected backwards on the valve.

Now the boost stays around what i set it at. I'm at 0.55bar and 42% duty cycle ... the problem is it pulses up and down all the time. It'll move between 7 and 8psi all the time ... its weird. And there's a weird clicking sound coming from my air vent on the left while i'm in boost ... we're thinking its the valve opening and closing with the duty cycle, but it doesnt do it on my friend's car. Anybody else has that sound ?

When I connected mine first I had the hoses backwards also and had the boost problems, but after I corrected it the thing has worked fine.

I have not heard any noises from mine though.

|3utters, my rpm is reading fine since i changed it to 4cyl .. weird. I'll look at my settings later today and let you know. maybe there's something else you have to change ?

Well it appears to be a setting thing I have to get the duty right but
everything else is installed right. How long did it take to get that damn duty
set up correctly It is giving me fits.Oh and the clicking sound that is the valve
opening and closing with the duty and it is normal some people hear it and
others don't it just depends on how loud your engine is it is very faint.

I set my duty cylcle by going to a business area on a weekend when everything was closed, I would raise it by 5's until I got close and then by 1's. After I got it tuned down pretty good I took it to the highway and adjusted it at higher speeds in 5th :) of course look out for cops and dont drive like a tool. lol

yup, it means that you have it set to learn, so its "supposed" to figure it out on its own after a while, I did not like it so I disabled it on mine

if it still not working you probably have the vac. lines hooked up backwards.
if they are hooked up backwards there will be no boost increase.

Heres a quick question. Com goes to wastegte correct. Now do those
who have it working have the other hose hooked up to NO or NC I have it hooked to NO I think that could be the problem.
