Anyone can explain how they installed it under the hood then?
do a search, theres alot of info there.
but basically, if your O/P gauge replaces the stock sending unit, like my Defi D Series did, then i can help.
Jack the front up, and crawl under, look up and find the oil filter. Right next to it, and up, is a little plug thing with a wire on the end. Thats the sending unit. This is what you unscrew, and take out.
I had to use a 24mm DeepWell socket to get it off(autozone i love you). Anyways, make sure the oil is drained, and you'll have to take off the oil filter too.
Just remove the stock one and if the new sending unit threads in, then use some teflon tape, and thread the replacement in, hand tight, maybe a little tighter with a wrench. From here, you should have a wire off of it, and that connects to wiring to the gauge. Run it through the firewall, and to your gauge.
On my car, unless the ignition wire is connectied from the gauge, the car *will not start* That was bad times.
Also, make SURE you disconnect the negative terminal. We blew the main fuse on my car by forgetting this while socketing stuff under the car. Bad times, it was a pain to get off, once again

autozone i love you, open late)
Anyways, mine wasnt too hard to put in.. once you know how.
