His name is Chojin (Shawn). cool guy
the only work they did for him "i think" was the intercooler piping for his FMIC.

Yea, that's Shawn. Haven't seen him in years...

I would talk to SGP Racing about doing the work instead of Autologic, just from personal experience with Jason. Brad at Autologic(thumb) tho.

The Mazdaformance car had a Split Second AFC, not a Haltech. His MSP has the Haltech :)

And yea, Jason has a decent rep tuning in Houston but I prefer the people at SGP. Just personal preference.

mspHtown -

I got a call from Jason on Sunday about a guy he talked to with an MSP who wanted to know about EMSs and such. I'm guessing this is you? He gave me your number, but I don't think it was the right one. When I called it yesterday, the voice mail message had some guy with a hispanic first, middle, and last name.

Jason fabbed the intercooler piping in early 2004, helped fine tune the Haltech E6X in May of 2005, and helped eliminate a few instances of knock/ping/detonation in Sept of 2005. Prior to brining the car to Jason for for fine tuning I street tuned as much as possible using an FJO wideband and listening for knock/ping/detonation.

The dyno used was a Dynojet 224xLC and all numbers below are SAE corrected. The baseline pull at stock boost (AVC-R off) made 191 whp and 201 wtq (not bad for street tuning). A few pulls later with Jason tuning the stock boost portions of the fuel and timing maps, it made 197 whp and 214 wtq.

The AVC-R was then turned on and set to 10.7 psi (0.75 kg/cm^2). The initial pull was done with the increased boost portions of the fuel and timing maps still on the street tune. It made 216 whp and 232 wtq with an 11.4 psi (0.80 kg/cm^2) boost spike at 3700 rpm (which is where the peak tq occurs). Jason noticed the AFRs began leaning out to 12.5 in the upper rpms and a datalog showed the injector duty cycles approached close to 100%. We made one more pull to verify the AFRs and duty cycles. It produced the exact same results and we ended the tuning session with the conclusion that no more could be done with the stock injectors.

If you have any questions, please email/PM/etc.

-Shawn
