Autodim Mode for Navigations System

I apologize if this question has already been asked: Does anyone know how to engage the autoday/autonight feature (automatically switching between Day and Night) for the Navigation?

My Navigation does not automatically switch between Day and Night configuration, even though I have touched the screen button selecting it. Thoughts?

I don't have my nav in front of me in the office, but if memory serves, it's in your nav set up menus. There's an auto, day, night button. Just touch the auto button and it'll turn blue. That function only works when your headlights are in the auto mode.

I think something may be wrong with my autodim. I touched the "auto" button and my headlights are also on auto, but the navigation does not switch between "Day" and "Night" configurations when appropriate.

Are the other lights in your dashboard dimming when your headlights come on? If not, maybe you have that button to the left of the speedometer pushed that keeps the dash lights in the day mode at all times. I believe this would also keep the NAV lights in day mode all the time also.

The dash lights are on during the day, so we may be on the right track. To turn it off (or take it off "day mode"), would I just need to rotated the knob left or press down, etc?

Press down to cancel or enable the night mode on the dash lights.

These normally dim when you turn on your headlights, but you can force them to stay bright. Pressing the knob toggles between the 2 settings.

It your lights are on and the dash lights are dim, twisting the knob adjusts just how dim they are.
