Auto Wipers

I have the GT and leave my wipers in Auto. Every time I start the vehicle it wipes once, even when there is no rain and nothing is blocking the sensor.
Is this normal?

I don't leave mine on, so not sure. My Lincoln LS, which had auto wipers, did that all the time.

I don't leave the auto wipers in my Cadillac STS in the on position either, cuz the headlights would stay on all the time.

I have the auto wipers and they do not come on every time the car is started.

I had the same problem after disconnecting the battery, you need to reset the auto wipers. There is a post somewhere on here with the directions to do it, I didn't bookmark it but the process was very easy.
