Auto Trans Question

Hey Everyone,

I have an '08 Mazda 3s GT Hatchback with an auto trans. What I would like to know is if any of you have taken and Mazda 3, with a 2.3L, and an auto trans on a Road Course or Auto Cross event. If so, did you ever have to worry about the auto trans overheating? (uhm)

ive got a similar car. I, every now and then, take it up to the moutains and well, drive the hell out of it. I use manual mode for shifting through all the fast bits so the trans doesnt have to keep switching between gears when i want more power. i havent run into anyproblems as of yet, and these mountain runs can last up to 3 hours. so i think youll be fine. just give it proper cool off, and warm up periods.
