hey folks i wanted to spread the news that there is a auto trans stand alone ecu on the market that will work for the protege trans ( all of them ). baiscally its like a engine stand alone it focus's just on the trans side of ecu. we can program the ecu for whatever you want shift points ,line pressure ,clutch pressure to all or single clutches, you name it can be done.. ( no final gear ratio ).
so heres what will need to do. first you need to now that when we install this you will throw a cel ( trans comes up missing )..so we need either a manual ecu or have it reflashed to manual specs..second there is no base map for this so you ill have the challange and fun of creating your own standards..i am going to borrow mazda's spec and start from there..3rd and final the harness will have to made up, but you can either do this yourself or have them do it for a small fee of $150 these means it will be plug and play. cost of the stand alone is $700 usd+ $150 if you want to creat a harness...ps you will have to forward them a harness ( junkyard will do ).... so basically its going to cost probably imo $1000 ( tuning included )..throw in the lentech converter and valve body this thing will scream like a 5 speed!!!!
