Auto dim, homelink mirror compass?

Question, do all the rear view auto dim/homelink mirrors have a compass in them? If so, how do I turn it on because I don't see any indication of a compass in my mirror.
Thanks

I have the one that came with the GT and it doesn't have a compass.

Bummer, this is what I was afraid of. It is sort of crazy that the GT has all the bells and whistles and no compass.
The mirrors that have the auto dimming, homelink and compass option must be an aftermarket mirror.

I believe the compass is standard with the auto-dim on the Canadian GT model...but not the US one.

That's almost like saying our friends to the north need guidance! :D

Seriously, I wish my headlights would stay go on like the Canadian cars. I like to run with my headlights on so others can see me and I cannot get my wife to remember to turn them on during the day. (My former GM car's lights came on whenever the car was moving.)

Actually you can put the switch in the on position and the lights will go off and on with the car. I don't do it because I have HID and don't want to kill them any sooner.

The Canadian cars DRL are the high beams at a lower voltage. The high beams are standard Halogen Bulbs.

The only logic for this is, I think they expect that most GT owners will opt for the Navi, which reduces the need for a mirror compass.

hello, i'm looking in my house for the instruction of the mirror.

does anyone know how to set up the garage door to open with the Auto-Dimming HomeLink Rearview Mirror?

thanks

Very Cool, I just won this mirror brand new and cheap on flea bay! ($79)
I am hoping my 6i touring has the accouterments to make for an easy install. (I.E., the plug is right there)
I am also hoping the harness is in the doors for the matching dimming/heated external mirrors.
Anyone swap out all three yet? Buying all this stuff, and have not even took possession of the new car yet!

compass

I have an 09 GT and the compass was not offered on any of the US 09s to my knowledge, I believe it's available on the 10's but I'm not sure what model or if it's an option across all levels. I was given a 10 sales brochure with my 09 and it mentioned the compass in the mirror but all 09 material I can find does not mention it.

Just an update, installed this mirror plus the dimming outside mirrors, very easy install, and WELL WORTH it. I got all three mirrors for under $200 from flea bay, genuine mazda parts. Install instructions were great.
