Greetings,
I've searched the forums for my issue below, but I only came across some threads about the mirror.
I have a 2012 (or is it 2013? I dunno - the first year the CX-5s came out) Touring with the technology package, so it has the navigation system and such. I noticed in the display settings there are three options: "day," "night," and "auto" that, presumably, control the display brightness/contrast.
For the past year, I've had it set to "auto" and was none the wiser until, randomly, I tried a few nights ago to see what the "night" setting was like. What a difference! I'm no longer blinded <exaggeration> by the display, especially if I'm using the navigation at night.
My question is - shouldn't the "auto" setting in the display detect that it's dark out and lower the brightness accordingly? There's no difference between "day" and "auto" from what I can tell.
In full transparency, I haven't read the manual about this so if there's something I'm missing in there, let me know. Thanks.
