hey i am about to by a double din head unit for my 02 protege 5 and i was wondering if a double din would fit just rigt, and if not is there a way to make it fit properly???????????????????????????????????

I think double din units will fit just fine, but I don't have one myself so I'd look around in the audio section of the forums where there are tons of people with info for you. I know I have seen pics of double din units installed in our cars so it can definitely be done.
Post pics of your car! what color is it, and have you personalized it at all?
It should fit right in with no trouble. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether you can use the trim piece that comes with it. It may interfere with the stock panel.
Which unit did you choose?
Be sure to post pictures of it once you install it.
