audio accessories

i'm looking to upgrade my head unit and cant seem to find any sites that seem to have the right face kits and or the wiring harness. i find one on one site and the other on another. does anyone have a site that i can get both or maybe even a package deal? any helpful hints on changing out the head unit? i know sides of the factor unit pops off to access were you use the U tool but thats all i have found out. any comments would be nice. thanks,,,

www.sounddomain.com has the kits typicly, check my sticky on the subject for the parts in the car sudio section. Any car audio shop will have them aswell. With shipping, its not typicly any cheaper online.

You can get the ford radio removal tools from most audio parts stores or bestbuy. Its a pair of U shaped keys that unlock the radio and hold onto it while you pull it out.

This is true. It's stock for a MSP right?

yeah, and a good amount of base model protege's used the same holder as well (with a single din stock headunit.) at least from 99 up, but it could be before that too.

no problem. i ended up paying $20 dollars for mine (from a mazda tech who had one laying around.) :)

I got my head unit from walmart (Pioneer super tuner, mp3, wmp, 2 pre outs). I had the local audio shop install it, they provided a thing for under the aftermarket unit thats a cd case holder. It looks spiffy, lol. I usually do all my own car audio work, this being a new car i was kinda wary....

i have checked all those places and local shops. bestbuy had the den but not the whole kit. a local shop had the harness but not the face kit, CCity had both but the guy was trying to tell me i only needed a single den. i check out those sites you guys posted and see if someone has both. thanks,,,

Just buy what you need from who ever has it. No one going to discount them becuase you buy them both from one place.
