Audi vs. Tree. Tree Wins

hmm i guess those solid steel brakets on the doors vw reps about in their commercials didnt help any...."drive a vw, you will know"

OUCH! that gonna hurt....

I don't think anything would've help in this case, I remember in one of the recent WRC event a WRX WRC car crash into a tree @ about 80-mph and both the driver and nav. guy were killed, so if a WRC car with all the safty stuff on can't keep the lives of pro drivers that Audi will not be able to hold one either.

pffft. thats nothing. walk it off.

jk of course. Jaysus that would suck. Gotta wonder how many pieces the guy is in.

it almost isnt even recognizable as an audi. i cant imagine anyone living through that, and if they did i cant imagine them being in good shape.

his/her tires looked pretty freakin' bald, Roy...I think those things would have failed the penny test, from those pics...you should be ok for a bit! :p

Coution nerd speak: Well technically they both lost. I would assume that the driver looks worse than the car, and the tree well it will die too just later. If you look at it you will see all the bark stripped off well that's the phloem or the sugar conduction tissue and the tree can't live without it. All you see there is the Xylem which is the water conducting tissue

wow the spedometer is at 80 and 2k rpm.......stuck .......dex pointed that out to me...****** up

The speedo and the tach are both at time of impact, just imagine how fast the person could have been traveling before impact. Holy Jesus, that's the worst thing I've ever seen. Take care of yourselves with spring break week coming up.

yuo = uber tree phreak

hmm by looking at the pictures i guess his red calipers didn't help either

red = performance is a LIE

man, that tree wooped that cars ass.....remember this...big metal objects and big sticks of wood can whoop your cars ass. Thank god I live in Las Vegas, I only have to worry about running into the large metal objects and the desert. Knock on wood...he he. Sorry maybe that wasn't called for....but I'm leaving it in there. Well we all know the person didn't make it, hence the white covers over whatever is left. Being there are two sheets, makes you wonder if there was a passenger..hmmm or the accident just tore the driver up really bad, either way it's a bad way to go.

It looks like it is closer to 95 - 100 but anyway that is ******* incredible. The car is in complete pieces. Your talking about at least 120- 140 MPH collision. The only way I can see this happening is if he were to flip before the impact and topple into it. But ... Damn..

What kind of pine tree is that? I saw the aftermath of a police cruiser that hit an elm tree at least that diameter at 80mph head on and it snapped like a twig. Incidently, the officer ended up with a broken collar bone, 3 broken ribs and a broken ankle.

Yeah, that's probably the only way you can have a head-sized indent in the steering wheel yet not have the driver side airbag deploy. At least death came quickly...
