I'm pretty sure terry is out of the turbo business for good guys. This is going to be a big hit for the protege aftermarket.

big deal and big deal. its a pussyass car that can't handle much anyway. sure it'll turn some heads,it can be quick, its limited but overall, there's enough other companies out there that are in the process of getting parts together or do have parts out there so i think the aftermarket for the Speed will be just fine

its not that secretive if you had been on the forums for a year or so. Terry used to be a cop, he has a masters in criminal justice. Take a guess where hes going now.

That would be nice...but the time will come. i get the feeling that he does care about the community on here. More money is always good...as my friend once told me:

Well, Im very glad for Terry. I wish him the best of luck, and think he is probably making the best decision for himself, and his family. Being in the sport compat industry, no matter what you are doing, can be very difficult.

and i don't think the Mazdaspeed is the only protege on the road. that would just be stupid. SPOOL's put out alot more parts and turbo kits for regular proteges than they have MSP's. i'm still pretty sure there's enough aftermarket help from other companies though to keep the buyers mouths watering for more s***

It goes both ways servo, you are right in what you said. But some of the vendor bashing is from vendors themselves.

If you reaserch what I'm talking about, look at some of Terry's posts, or even some questions that were aimed at SPOOL. Alot of those got threadjacked from other vendors. This is wrong too. You shouldnt try to steal any buisness by proving how your company does it better, and how your company knows more. Like was said before, if the other companies product is better, then the custumer will make that decision in the long run.

Just for the record, search my posts, take a good look at the amount of time I have bashed on this board - wow - must be like 99% of my posts right??

I started this thread in the FI section because thats where it would get the most hits. And Terry sponsors (sponsored) this section, so possibly he'd check here first.
Thanks to most of you for providing useful answers and generating a goodd discussion, but it could definitely be a lot easier read with out the extra few pages of BS that you have to read to get to the facts.
We know there are still vendors out there providing parts for our cars, but Spool was, in my opinion, one of the most devoted companies to our aftermarket community, so it IS a big loss.
Now I think we should all just shut up about it until Terry can come on and say what he needs to say.

He thought that my "we have the technology" referred to me selling something. I provided a decisive answer proving I did not. I'm a network admin, I can stay on here all day long while at work if I want to. If someone says something to me, I'll make a reply.

It's pretty straightforward. You say something to me, I'll reply. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Also, if you look back through the thread, I was one of the first people to suggest that maybe something bad had happenned and that people should wait for Terry's reply.
