apparently mobil 1 tri-syn is no longer "fully" synthetic...im no oil guru so i cant really decode all the mumbo jumbo they talk about. but as far as i can tell...mobil is now using a group III base stock instead of a group IV. which is exactly what mobil bought castrol to court for...calling syntec "fully" synthetic when it really wasnt.
does this make a difference in our cars? i dont know...although i may be switching to amsoil or another form of synthetic oil soon enough. whats the point in paying $5 a quart for something that isnt what its made out to be.
