OMG this thread....... Insanoman, no one is forcing these threads, posts or ideas on anyone who is posting them. I have MAM parts, with more to come. I have installed a complete Street Sleeper turbo kit. and on top of this I have talked with Beau on MANY MANY occasions, and what is funny is my usual last comment is, "wow beau, we just talked for one and a half hours, haha" where else do you see customer service like this?

Yes, I am sponsored, and I am apreciative of that, but I can tell you that without regret of anykind I would pay more than retail price for Beau's parts because the man delivers top notch parts with service unparralelled. He litterally wants to hear of a few minor problems so he can correct them (and not just for future kits, for yours as well)

I'll tell you, its a guy who cares about the quaily of his parts and service. The thing this basically boils down to, is that you have NO MAM parts, so why do you even get to talk s*** about all this? buy something, or even just inquire about it, I CHALLENGE YOU! and see what everyone is talking about. and if you STILL cant handle it, then ignore these threads.

IMO it really doesn't matter which person makes your turbo kit. You're still gonna get smoked by a WRX with a boost controller.

I poured my hard earned money into my Protege's already strong point: Handling.
If I wanna go fast from a stoplight, I'll get a used TurboII and turn up the boost. For about the cost of an MAM(or HiBoost, Wagner, etc) kit, you can get a whole car to beat on...and it'll be faster in a straight line than your $15K P5 with a $5K turbo kit.

Aint going to happen as easy as that. They aren't as fast as you think without some major mods.

Oh yeah, I don't have any MAM parts but I think he's pretty cool as a vendor from the few communications I had with him. Anyone who offers more parts for the community is OK in my book, especially if he keeps furthering the product line.

that's funny, i pulled bus lengths all the time on my friends wrx with a boost controller, tb exhaust, utec, and a few other mods, and with 3 people in my car...at only 8psi...

My point wasn't how fast a WRX is, it was that if you want to go fast off the line, get a different car. Proteges did good in the ALMS series, but I've neven seen one on a dragstrip that impressed me. Our car's strength is it's balance.

For the 20g's you spend on a Protege and a turbo kit, you could be going MUCH faster...in a straight line at least.
