We have looked and looked for the exact number of P5's Mazda sold in the US the last year it was made....(2003. i think). We know the number is between 12000 and 15000. Would anyone know of this mystery number or know where I could go to do more research for it. Thanks a mil!
Angie--Call Mazda North America http://www.mazdausa.com and ask for marketing. Tell them what you're doing. They'll have the numbers you need.

Listen Buds, It's all about basics, just like human if you want to have a car that has muscle you have to be able to make it breath easier, which leads you to more airflow, then more hp, on the other hand you have to be able to eliminate all that air that is comming in so you got to get a cat back system (from catalic converter to tip) my recommendation is to get a KandN typhoon air your air intake and then a borla or a skunk2 exhaust system. Try that and youll thank me later !

cheers

You've got the right idea but you stopped short of the point. Its all about the weakest link in the chain or the point of most resistance.

Putting a muffler with a 5" tip does you no good unless you upgrade the rest of your exhaust system. The same goes for a cat back system if you don't open up the cats and install a new header. Sure you can do it piece by piece but until you open up the entire system from air filter/intake to exhaust tip, you're not going to see the performance you want. Anyone that tells you a CAI gives you 10-15HP is B.S.ing you.

very nice!

I REALLY like what you've done. I've got a black mica MP5. haven't done too much yet. I really don't know what's the best to get for my car. do oyu have any suggestions? And if i were to drop my car, who's got the best shocks? does the car ride better or worse after (the low profile tires makes it pretty sensative as it is)

Hey, Whats up. I am loving the Pro5 I just got. I am gonna bake the headlights this weekend and paint them flat black. I need some advice on what lowering springs to get. i am also getting black rims.

You should get the tein s-tech lowering springs, i got them installed in my p5. it gives better handling and a more aggressive look without sacrificing ride comfort

Rear wiper

Anyone having trouble with the rear wiper? Mine takes on a life of its own in warm weather. Can't turn it off or control it. The dealer has replaced the switch in the cockpit, the relay between it and the motor, and the motor itself. But still it starts by itself when the switch is off. The dealer is stumped.

Tell the dealer you're going to take your car to a church and ask that it be given an exorcism. Ask them to pay the bill. :D

It's the car's way of flicking off every other piece of crap on the road. Car's got attitude. You know that!

That has to be a short in the wiring between the trunk & dash switch then.

Expect to only see about 3-5 HP from an intake.

No never dynoed it yet but I went to the track for the first time and ran
