CHRIST, this BIRD is everywhere, it's like the SATANIC crow from the Omen hovering, ready to gouge out my eyeballs. I better be careful and say my Hail Mary's.

OK, so I posted this up so people could realize that it will take an XEDE or something similar (I'm getting an XEDE on Monday the 15th) to take this to it's max. My LA TMIC is off the car due to it allowing 3 PSI more boost than the factory one. Also my LA TMIC gives me better intake air temps than the stock one ever has or could.
As far as the launching comments, post up your 60's and slips. The launch you saw was with me being caught unaware as there were track issues. My best was 2.0X that night HOWEVER I was spinning out of the hole or I was working through the launch. Once this is tuned, trust me it'll launch just fine. On the stock turbo I have a string of 1.9 60's which is fine for me here in high DA AZ.

I don't see most of you that are making negative comments even drag racing your car or modifying them.
Put up or shut up!

1.9 is not even that sufficient man. I had 1.7's on my stock evo sitting on falken ze-512's. Just slip her a bit and no need to rev higher than 4500 if you are.

Nobodys being negative...just concern.....Were all pretty freakn excited that someone is gone this far, we dont wanna see it cut short by an easily preventable mishap! But dont think just because your the first with the turbo upgrade that your the only one doing things! I could put that sucker on to but I dont want anything on my car that I cant take off fast for warranty work. Ill upgrade my turbo after 35k and not a mile sooner.

guys guys enough with the stupid comments!! this is very normal that the car didnt do good!! wait till he gets tuning then you will all be shitting in your pants ;) mark my words...

keep it up man (first) great job(enguard)

First I wanted to say very nice work on the pictures of the install and dyno charts.

So they didnt work out as planned and the car needs tuning. Who didnt see that coming? Not a big deal and it sounds like 4DRHTRD knew that coming into the whole works.

What I dont understand is all the armchair drag racing and negative comments. I dont see anyone else posting their pictures of their turbo upgrade or dyno charts.

Why doe everyone feel the need to bash people if something isnt perfect? Just relax and let him post and if you have to make a comment. Atleast be constructive.

Boy oh boy does everyone feel they need to chime in on this. You cry babies cant take some constructive critisizm. Once again you little girls have taken some comments on concern to a whole new level. Shut the funk up...No one is talkn s*** and there sure aint any armchair drag racers here so I dont what the funk your talkn about. Just showing some concern for a guy spent 2gs on funkn turbo kit and then took it to the track and had it dynoed before it was tuned...Nobody wants to see this go bad. No more comments on negative comments lets just move the hell on...if I wanted to read this crap I would 've went to a forum on soaps.

Keep up the good work, don't hurt your car, and don't worry about the naysayers. I for one am happy that you are working through this because it just provides more information for other people who want to modify this vehicle. Not all of life takes place at the drag strip.

Oh yeah, it is my civic duty to request that we all keep it civil and refrain from the use of profanity on this forum.

I'm getting the XEDE installed on the 15th, hopefully it'll make gigantic improvements. With the cutout open I was seeing as much as 19 PSI in 4th gear....

Those spikes are fairly typical of over boosting and/or fuel cut. The fuel curve displays spikes in the same area.
How were they reading hp? Optical pick up?

shrug? It's an AWD dyno, that's all I know and they hit the #1 spark plug for RPM reference and a WB tube in the tailpipe.
:)

Cya next Monday!

God invented the internet so the little boys who got abused in Highschool could vent w/o anyone stuffing them in a trash can...

I don't believe in god.. but if he did create anything.. it was the internet.. and for that purpose....

Or maybe he created forums for that purpose?

Anyway.. I could care less if you ran 12's or 18's.... the fact that you managed to replace the turbo already.. and have done all those other mods... is what THIS is all about...

And we are not EVOS so for those who are using them as an example.. STFU plz... This car is not 9 generations old... has not been tested over and over... Everything this guy and the rest of us are doing ... is first time.. first test... no one knows if it will work crap...

Buying an Evo is like buying a lego car... you have 1000's of companies to choose from with endless supply of bolt on parts that are proven to work....

However I don't enjoy buying legos and snapping together parts... I want a feeling of accomplishment when I install or mod something few others have.... bla bla bla...

Good job man.. keep it up... Sucks you're in AZ...

Well said! For some reason people seem to forget these facts.

i just dont care for the order of operation, yes this guy spent 1675 on a turbo, but he slapped it on and took the car out with the factory brain trying to compensate. to me thats not an accomplishment, thats impulsiveness. this is a japanese car, made in japan, not flatrock michigan like the v6 with a taurus engine. i think its wise to wait a bit until xede, cobb, or whoever has landed their management, and tested it on many ms6's before any upgrades to forced induction should be done, then once that happens, the project should be done from end to end with a goal in mind. remember, this car has only been out for 2 years. nobody has really tested this vehicle with piggy backs, or stand alones. company's are desperately pleading for owners to become guinea pigs. the problem is, this car is not taking a hold of the market because the 6 already pushed the ms6 out of line. the problem i see is nobody knows what the car has for the most part. for example, i ran into an evo8 guy today, who thought my ms6 had a v6 in it and it was front wheel drive, even though it really doesnt look like the 6. i dont know if that's just ignorance or the fact that you just dont see ms6's anywhere. i bought my ms6 because it's just more grown up looking and more refined than your rally opposition, but still puts you back in your seat almost just the same.

I am glad that 4DRHTRD is being a pioneer and attempting stuff that many others have not. However, I can see your point and I am pleased that you presented your concerns in an amicable fashion.

I didn't slap a $1675 turbo on there, I bought the full kit which was offered out to us as a 310 WHP untuned solution that worked. I knew that eventually tuning would get more out of the car but assumed it would work "out of the box". I've had to rush to get the XEDE installed and travel around 2K miles round trip to make it happen but it will be worth it. As always (I've done a few firsts before to cars) I'm not afraid to jump out there and get my feet wet. I know what to expect and the pains that these efforts will create. However if I didn't post up my experience other people might think they can just go out and buy the $2500 ATP turbo kit, bolt it on and that everything would just work. I'm not saying the kit doesn't have the capability but from my experience it's not a true bolt it on and hammer it experience.

Again, Monday will see the car get to it's fullest potential, if the turbo is maxed before fuel is I'll be hitting up ATP for something bigger to replace the 3071R.
:)

Just so you guys know, I'm OLD compared to most, close to 40 and this is my wife's daily driver. I will get these mods to be at dependable daily driver status with stealth appearance and mid to low 12's out of the car.
