Has anyone that bought one of the AT Grills gotten thiers Yet? Also, what kind of assembly is required...the site (this one) says, "These metallic grills are placed right on top of the existing ones. Not making holes or taking things apart. Plus, they look extremely sharp, and are priced competitively."
But I've also heard it required a full taking off of the front bumper...Mine was supposedly shipped on the 24th from Canada, so I think it should be here any day...THX.

Yeah, these guys are sloooooow. I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago, and I fineally got an email on Saturday saying that they shipped it. I hope I don't have to take the front bumper off

I put mine on last week, it looks awesome, take your time, it will scratch the paint if you are not careful. If i were you all i would take some masking tape and put on the paint all around the edge of the grill and then install it. You can put it on easier with the bumper off but if you have patience and 20 mins you can put it on without taking it off. The downside to these grills is that mine is already started to rust. I am going to primer it and then repaint. i am waitng from a response from at grills. Also make sure the pattern is going the correct way, so it looks good!!! :D

Nice. Thanks Tizight. What color did you get? And are you gonna throw up some pics?

Ok, right after I wrote that last post, it came in...just took a look at it, I asked for the silver color to try and go along with the wheels and hood ornament. Color is good, but you could totally do one of these yourself for about 5 bucks at home depot and some big ass wire cutters.
They reccommend taking the bumper off, but, I'm going with Tight and just going from the front.
I'll let ya'll know how it turns out...

3pmadzam, where in philly you from?? do u have a blue or yellow mp3 ive seen 1 yellow and 2 blues in the area just wondering if ive seen ya.

I was in Manayunk (never had the car there), but now I'm out in the sticks in West Chester. I've got a blue one.
Half the reason I moved was so that I didn't have to risk my baby on the street in that godforsaken town...my 240sx racked up about $1500 in body damage (at least) :o just being parked on the street at my old place by shmucks not being able to paralell park and not knowing how to make a turn wide enough to clear a car parked near the corner. Not to mention two guys got stabbed about 100 feet out my front door the week I was moving...
I post as philly because most people hear West Chester and think New York... :D

nah i hear west chester and think cKy, and stuff, but yea im considerting getting the at grill stuff but ill probably just make it myself.

Definetly make it yourself, you could buy enough mesh to screw it up 5 or 6 times and still be 50 bucks less...

Can sumone do the mesh grills mod themselves and post up some instuctions + pics? I realli want to do it but donno how to..

if theres is a couple person interested in buying one of those At grill.. we could make a list and get a better price. I live in Montreal and could deal with the guy , go pick those up myself and ship them to all of you who wants one...not sure if we could save a lot... but if we buy like 5...instead of being 50$ maybe they would drop to 40$ or 35$ + shipping...
well let me know if you are interested.. :D :D

LET START A LIST :

I don't have time right now, but I will write out a how-to in this thread tomarrow. So look here tomarrow and you'll see it.
:D

Ok fellas...I just set up Yahoo photos so that i can post pics of the grill once i take them...but, for the time being, I threw up a pic for you all to enjoy...I do suggest checking it out...go to just for fun...

OK, here is the how-to on the grill. Get the wire mesh from the masonry area at Lowes or Home Depot.($3.64/sheet) There should be some black paper backing on it. Use that paper to make a stencil. Cut out a smaller piece of paper,(a little bigger than your grill). Put it over your grill. Using a craft knife(or razor blade of some sort), carefully cut around the edge of the grill. With that stencil, cut out the mesh with tin snips. Normal wire cutters wont work. Then lay the grill you have cut over your grill and trim to fit. It took me twice to cut one that I was satisfied with. Then using thin galvanized wire, make a hook shape, and thread through the edges of the grill. Then pull it back through with pliers and twist it until it is tight. Do this about every 3 inches, all the way around the grill. Then repeat for the other part of the grill. To take off the emblem, just use a thin flat tip screw driver and slowly pry off the emblem. To reattach it, use any kind of double sided foam tape.

This is so easy that no one should waste $50 on one from AT Grills, unless it is givven to you for free. The mesh cost $3.64 for I think a 3X6 sheet. The tin snips were about $7, and the galvanized wire was about $3. All together it cost me about $14 and about and hour of time. Definately a do-it-yourself job. Close up pics are posted in my earlier post. ;)

There is pics of my engine in there. You just have to look around. I have another link to my pics on the family photo album section. It's under Ben's MP3. Tell me what you think. I need to post some new pics of it with my CAI though.
