Hey guys.

I am a new user and I have a few questions. I was wondering if you all could help and put in your two cents too. I am 23 years old and I have my 11 months old Great Dane named Baron, he is the reason I am getting a new car. I am cant decide on which color to choose when ordering my MS3 GT. I like all four colors offered and I was wondering if you could be so kind as to post your picture of your car. I test drove a Metro Gray. but I havent seen the other colors in person. I mean sure you can image what it would look like on it but some cars look better or worse in person. my second question is about the engine. My parents got my to test drive the Civic Si Sedan and I loved the extra push at red line (around 8000rpm) but there is no comparison with the civic to the MS3 in overall power and feel when you just lightly on the throttle. I was wondering if anyone figured out how to get the ms3 engine to not drop off after 6500rpm?

Well he is 120lbs dog that is as tall as me and I have an 89mazda b2200 series cab+ truck. the truck is almost 20years old. Baron barely fits in the truck now and I love Mazda so I started looking and doing research on cars about a month ago that were between 19K and 25k.

(thumb) got it! i thought the dog had a thing for mazda's or something! good luck with the purchase!

Really. 120 pound puppy lets you know he wants a new ride, it's time to go shopping!
All I can think of is the old line, "where does a 500 pound gorilla sleep?" "Anywhere it wants to!"

Hey guys.

Instead of missing the high rpm hp, learn to love the low rpm torque. This thing has an amazingly wide useful powerband for a relatively low dollar 4 cylinder.

I noticed the low end torque plus the power band between 3 and 6500. I love the car to death. When I started looking the cars I looked at had to be big enough for the pup and be fun as hell to drive for me. And that is pretty much the Mazdaspeed3(drive)

I am under the impression that the 2008.5 Mazdaspeed3 isnt offered in the Cosmic blue anymore.

i got the black mica, i love it -- gonna b difficult to keep clean, but well worth it. i think the red looks awesome, but I prefer more subtle look of the black.

if your into white then the CWP paintjob looks pretty solid, for me though....it seemed a bit too feminine for my liking. and the metro gray imo looks awsome under some lighting conditions, but most of the time it just looks so so...nothing spectacular

My dog was the reason I ended up with the speed 3 as well. I dont know how you would ever get that dog into a civic. Being able to have a dedicated dog area in the back is great. Keeps all the dog mess off my seats. Top end power is fun, but once you get used to the incredibly low end torque that this car has you won't miss that screaming Honda engine anymore. Here are some pics of my car.

And the lucky dog that now rides in style.

Here's my CWP. I use my truck to haul the critters in, though. I don't even allow eating in my MS3!

Civic Si, no torque, 'nuff said

I was wondering if anyone figured out how to get the ms3 engine to not drop off after 6500rpm?

Rephrase that: "Isnt it great that you dont have to rev the hell out of the MS3 to get the power out of it"

This is Baron... these pictures are is most recent I think he was 9 or 10months old. He was only about 100lbs and 34.5 inches at his shoulders in the pictures. so he is a little bigger now.
