Okay, due to the stupid search command (screwy) I can no longer find three letter words like ARP, AWR, HKS, and so forth. I wanted to know what type ARP head bolts (or studs) I should get. I'm am going turbo and building a spare engine. Also, who has a competitively priced source for these?

For something that new you'd have to call ARP to find out.

They can do custom bolts I think you just have to tell them what its for, the pitch, the length, the diameter, the head size etc etc sicne bolts are standard hardware anyways...

studs are popular with the high horsepower crowd. Autolink here in So Cal always uses them in b series engine buildups, not to mention ALL their engine buildups... they say they are more accurate with the torque and hold up better with a lot of hp.

ARP head studs are much more stronger then bolts the only problem you willl find with them is that you will have to re- tightend them every 500 miles or after a weekend of hard driving . But for the reliability there is nothing better :)

He just finished building his engine, might be a good idea to talk to him about the engine build.

Okay, thanks for the search tip :) I was wondering how to get past that!!
