Are you guys satisfied with your purchase?

After owning your P5 for a while, what do you think about it? was it the right decision for you, and why? Oh, and if you aren't satisfied with your car, please post about it and why... Thanks!

satisfied...

Well, I purchased a 2002.5 silver p5 with leather, Sun Roof and the sport AT. So far I would have to say yes, I am satisfied. I got it for $200 over invoice and with 2.9% financing. I was in a very big debate between this car and a WRX wagon. The power isn't comparible but neither is the price. In the long run I would have paid $10,000 more for the WRX (since they do not have any special financing offers).

It all depends on what you were looking for. But all in all I am happy with the car. I will be even happier once the turbo kit comes out from Mazda. If they offer it with warranty, I will be in line for one.

I would say if you can get one at the current rates (0% financing) I would grab one now. You won't be disapponted and you can beat the interest rates right now.

Best regards,
Dayill.

I love mine...and wouldn't change my decision at all......well maybe....but that would only be if I had the cash in hand to get another toy that I want.....a Beck 550 Spyder.

that just means that I would have only gotten ONE P-5 for the family...and I would still be saving up for the Spyder.

I am quite satisfied. I have had my car almost 2 months now and have about 2500 miles on it. The "newness" has worn off, and I am still very glad I bought it. It drives great, a little stiff on the freeway, lots of fun in the corners, decent power for around town stuff, feels more expensive than it is (interior, build quality, driving feel etc), looks awesome (still look back at it over my shoulder when I am walking away from it :D ) and gets good gas mileage.

I bought my in March, still love every minute with it.

Whenever I dine out I will try to find a spot where I can see my baby outside of the window. Becareful, though, with its paint, since p5s are suspectible to chips. I am trying to counter that by waxing a lot, and it is a joy to wax my baby.

I'm very happy with the car. I've had it for about 2 months and 2500 miles later, I still get excited looking forward to driving it. The combination of sportiness, decent power and handling for such a low price make it one of the best small cars out there.

I've had mine about 4 months now and agree that the combination of style, handling, versatility, reliability, and comfort cannot be beat for the price.

The only beefs I have are around the relative lack of oomph, and the somewhat shoddy paint quality that is prone to stonechips and blemishes.(argh)

I have had my P5 for almost 3 months now. I put 7000 miles on it and I cannot get enough of it. Found myself spending my weekend just driving my P5 anywhere and everywhere. The only downfall I have about the car: 14.9 gallon tank:)

very satisfied

I bought this car in 10/01, and I've loved it ever since. I wish I'd get to drive it more, though. I only have about 6,000 miles as it's a third car in our family (my company car, my wife's car and my P5).

I love the styling, the handling and it's practicality as well. IMO, it's the best in it's class. The Civic's are too boring on the inside, this Mitsubishi's are ugly on the outside..., so it all came back to the P5!

Thanks for your info. now i'll be confident in getting a P5

i'm also seriously considering the Civic Coupe, but i still don't relaly know what i think about it..

it's a great car and all, but to tell the truth it just doesn't have enough horsepower - I was looking for a good hatchback, and now I'd probably get a Civic SI, I just didn't know the SI's woudl be so easy to buy.

Can't be more happy with my P5. Really love seeing people looking at it the way they do, and I love driving it. Still think it should be at least 1" lower though.

My previous 2 cars where Civics ('90 Si and 2000 EX 4 doors), the Si was an awsome little package, kept it for 10 years, but the EX was the worse disappointement ever : lack of power, grip and handling was sooo bad. Engine/tranny VERY noisy, shifter and steering wheel gave NO feedbacks at all. After modifying a bunch of things I gave up and my wife now has that...thing :D

Ive had the Protg 5 for about two months now and Ive got around 1850 miles on her. I bought the 2002.5 model with every option for $19,700 before tax. Im very happy with the car but Im just like dficken Ill be waiting for that turbo.

Had mine since June of 2001, and I've got just under 30,000 miles on her already.

I am 100% satsified with the car. I would only complain about the lack of horsepower, but I knew what I was buying, and was never impressed with the juice, even on my test drive. The handling and styling sold me.

My only regret is getting the automatic - and I only regret that 50% of the time. It was a choice - not really a problem with the car. The auto is great, I just know it'd be more fun with the 5-speed. Couldn't get one when I bought the car - availabiliy was low, and auto was all I could get.

Great car!!!

so far yes...i'm very pleased....i've barely had any problems with this car, hell my co-workers RSX has had more problems then my car!

i just wish we had a more powerfull engine!!!!

Picked mine up late May last year - extremely satisfied given the price. Like most, would like more ponies/torque, but am having fun adding on bits and pieces to customize.

I'd have to say I'm satisfied with the car....I'm just dissapointed with the paint quality:mad: My car hasn't turned a year old yet and it already looks like its 5 yrs old...my front bumper and hood looks like I drove behind a gravel truck dumping gravel on the road....I'm really really dissapointed with that aspect....all in all it's a great little ride even though its slow

Just the automatic

Just the automatic, wish I got the 5 speed and because of the automatic the gas mileage is S**T.

I love my P5 since the first day I got it back in November. The price of the it w/ all the options, u cant go wrong. Not only that, but it is different than the rest out there. Not another Civic, no offense.

only complaints i had were

stock stereo sucked
1/4 mile time was slow
it was riding high

but i fixed all that :D

as for the rest, my dropped accord on 205/40 17" tires didnt handle as good as this (when i had stock suspension)!!! :D

style is the best, and it gets chicks!!!! hhaha "awwww, its so cute!"

very logical, got tons of room for extra crap, I can fit my bmx bike in the rear with the seats down, no problem at all. Rear seats fold down with EASE!! not like my accord, with the key turning and all that crap.

1st 5 speed ive ever owned/really drove, bent a shift fork (dont shift too hard in this car), but its all good

Price was great too. If i didnt have good taste in style, id be driving a Focus Wagon or a Matrix, haha
