I was looking at my MP3 screensaver and it says on there the Z828 comes with a remote. i didnt get one. did anyone else? are we supposed to have one?

Check in the storage area behind the cup holders... mine was hidden there and it took me weeks to find. It might even be in that conspicuos area under the fog light switch/dimmer switch. If not, I'm sure the dealer will get you one.

When i picked up my car they tried to tell me that it didn't come with a remote even after going into the manual and showing them. Two days later i got a call saying that they had FEDex'ed the remote to my house. Definitely call/visit your dealer and let them know that you didn't get a remote. If nothing else, complain and whine and they'll eventually get it to you... :p

Got my remote which it comes with, but have yet to use it. Maybe next summer as I only got my car at the start of fall so it was too cold already to be standing outside and using the remote. :)

I know we all want what's coming to us, and if the car is supposed to have a remote for the stereo, I'd want it too.

But seriously, what the hell is the point of it? These Pro's are really well designed inside, and I find I can reach the stereo effortlessly. No, I'm not 6'7", and no, I don't sit with my nose pressed to the windshield.

I have a remote for the Kenwood I installed in my P5, and I'll never use it. It's not illuminated, and I think it's a helluva lot more distracting than reaching out my paw and tapping a button.

So unless we are all 3 feet tall, or sitting in the back seat while driving, what is the point of a remote, besides being a cool toy?

Apparently, the remotes for the MP3 stereo can be used from outside the vehicle. Which is cool for at shows and outside events and you want to adjust anything to do with your audio.

I actually like the remote for the 919 because it is hard to adjust the tunner or switch tracks using that 4 position thing on the radio. This way you can just memorize the remote and push buttons.

i hadent got my remote when i picked up my car. the dealership ussally takes it out so someone looking at the car and the inside wont take it. they fedex the remote to my house..

My MP3 had come from another dealership and was missing the remote and had a rashed wheel. Dealer got the remote from the other guys after I noticed it wasn't there...and changed out the wheel!

While I agree that the remote is not really needed, it is fun to play with once in awhile.

yeah you are supposed to have a remote. If it did not come in the car you have to get on these guys about it. Once the have already sold the car they will take there sweet time getting it for you.

Actually You need the remote to program the name of the radio stations. Cannot be programmed through the radio!
;)

"...need the remote to program the name of the radio station."

Not true. You can name stations with the "joynub" after pressing the DISP button.

yet to come:
Real Moon Discs on the way for the winter tires!

I love the remote...When I get stuck back in the trunk and a crappy song comes on the radio and I don't want to crawl out, I just use the remote, and I stay in trunk with no problems...

i couldn't use my remote to do anything. it got brand new batteries...or do i have to set up something before using it...thanks
