anyone want to trade ecu?

i am looking for an ecu from and mp3 for my pro5. and since i have read that most mp3 owners need the ecu from a pro5 to retard the timing, i was just curious if anyone is doing a turbo project and wanted to trade ecu's. if not i understand.... sniff sob sob!

I heard about this... but still not sure what's up. I talked to Kooldino and derrick and they were saying that basically, the p5's only difference from the mp3 was the ECU or ignition timing...(or something like that). Is this true?

(not that i dont trust them, but im just wondering if anyone could confirm...)

where would one go once they found somone to trade with and what kinds of prices or affect on the waranty would there be?

The only differences are the advanced timing and probably fuel maps.

other than to make the mp3 seem more of a sports car or premium package than the p5, does anyone have any idea why they didnt just use the same ignition timing/fuel mapping for the p5 as well?

makes me wonder if there is anything else involoved...

Cause they wanted to differentiate them... why would you want an mp3 with the same numbers a P5.. they had to make it look more attractive... Also the MP3 requires premium gas to get that extra 10 Hp... I am not sure the P5 is marketed for people that will buy premium gas all the time...

if you want to sell yours to him go ahead and do that because it will be a while before I do it. I want to make sure that my ecu won't work with the boost level I want. There will definetely be other people who will want it later. There's a lot of P5's out there.

It will be a longer while for me to get everythign done.... remember I just started it's like day 1... LOL I am at the prep and plan stage... nothing bought yet....

i really want to trade, just let me know what the difference in price is, and when you would like to "trade". my friend has got the CAI already and i want it too, also he just got the rear anti sway bar so i would like to one up him a few!

If I had an MP3 I would be swapping for free. I would think the P5 computer would be just as valuable to you MP3 guys wanting to run turbo as the P5 guys wanting a few more HP going N/A...
