ok like the title says im thinking of trading in the P5 for an msp ive read everything on this site seen what people have done with thier msp's and p5's and well id like something faster with the msp i could get something faster and it seems to be alot easier to mod
i know that this is kinda reaching out thier but if anyone has an msp and wants a P5 contact me i doubt anyone would wanna do that so what im asking is what do yall suggest i do.

Yeah, I could be wrong, but I think an aftermarket turbo would easily give you more power than an msp. I haven't had the priviledge of seeing or experiencing one in person, but there appear to be some very nice looking turbo kits out there. If you would just be modding the msp anyways, I think it would be better to stick with the car you got and mod that. With a good kit, you could get great components from the get go, instead of buying a turbo'd car and ending up replacing many of it's lacking components(exhaust, engine managment, manifold, IC, turbo, intake, etc). Just my 2 cents.

I agree with the others... if your P5 has a manual transmission, it'd probably be cheaper in the end to just turbo/modify it if all you want is acceleration. However, having driven both an MP3 and P5, I can honestly say that the handling balance and (IMHO) looks of the MSP and MP3 (I'm burned out on hatchbacks), not to mention the excellent stereo, more than make up for a small-to-moderate price difference. At the same time, I've found that the MP3 is so good at what it does, I can easily forgive the difference in horsepower (comparing to a MSP) when I consider the moderate difference in purchase prices.

If you have an automatic, test drive a manual tranny P5 ... I think you might find that the transmission alone (and maybe I/H/E) makes a worthwhile difference.

well the P5 is is an automatic and i would like to get a manual transmission and i can get a better trade in value for my P5 right now then what i paid for it a year ago i got a damn good deal
