Anyone Try This IPod Adapter Yet???

I'm clueless as to where the screws would go.

There should be a small metal plate that came with your kit. It should be in a plastic bag along with two machine screws. This plate is used to secure the connector to your head unit.

Haha, I looked at that little baggy with the brace in it, and looked at my headunit... aka the picture that CX-7 showed... and was like "where the hell does this go" and got out my electrical/duct tape. It looks like a mummy... but that connector isn't coming loose.

My wife has a CX-7 with the tech package. What is the best solution then if you have Nav and don't want an FM modulator but would rather direct connect CD quality? I don't even care about stock radio control or text but just something that sounds great.

look at my post from the first page, i found that unit gives great sound, although it is amodulator it works amazing and trust me i know a thing or two about good sound!!!

I saw it eyallevi9 but FM is FM and not the same. I've been dissapointed too many times.

Does the factory audiolink work with the Nav if you also get the factory switch box?

The gain on this axxess adapter thingy is insane. I've gotta turn down the gain on my amp in order to go above 5 volume.

At my amp's current gain level I listen to cd's at around 10-20 volume, radio on about 6-15

edit:
Does anyone know if you have to use a specific mp3 IDtag version? Some of my songs show text and others don't. They are all tagged with the correct info... all mp3s, etc.

There is a section in the manual that discusses how MP3 capable CD units handle MP3 CD's, such as folders and ID tags. The following is the ID tag information:

About ID3 Tag display
1) This unit can only display ID3 Tag album, track and artist names that have been input using Ver1.0/1.1/2.2/2.3 formats. Any other data that may have been input cannot be displayed.

2) This unit can only display English (including numerals) one-byte characters. Use only English (including numerals) one-byte characters when inputting ID3 tags. Two-byte characters and some special symbols cannot be displayed.
