youtube has a few vids of high 13's and low 14's in the quarter mile....and dragtimes.com has a speed3 running 13.0

Wow. I would love to hit those numbers. With practice I am sure I could get some decent numbers.

Very nice. Hey at least you are trying. I have not gone yet. But will I am sure.

I don't normally race 1/8th mile...I do 1/4 mile times. :) Looked like you did fine there.

Im going to the track on June 10th in WI. The track prep sucks for us sport compact racers so im hoping for a high trap speed with a bad time. FWD wheelspin FTL!

Oh.... I was hoping we were talking about a real track.... not a drag strip.

Well I meant drag....but any track. I am hoping to do the "real" track one day....but nervous.

Im going to a 1/4 track within a few weeks. I'll post up some results. I think i will run maybe 2-3 runs stock to get a baseline then do some weight reduction, take out spare tire and some stuff.

Just watch your motor mounts. I saw a guy rip his up on his first launch, but it didnt stop him from makin 5 more runs.

I am sure...nothing can stop a fan of racing....unless his motor, axle, or anything like that goes. :)

I cracked 2 9.6's@77mph in the 1/8th, with a Normal redlight take off. 2.6 60 ft times.

My wife made 5 passes and best she mustered was a 9.7 @77mph. First time for her on a race track EVER.
FWD just sucks for the track.

My other 2.3 car ran a 7.88 @87.3 mph. Thats a VERY low 12s pass. Maybe a high 11. Got a 1.77 60 ft on slicks.

Nice. Me myself never paid attention at the 1/8 mile times....just 1/4 mile. I will check next time my husband and I go out. Or if we take the Speed 3 out. :)

15.00@96.??mph I have the slip in the car. I dunno if its cuz I am at 2200ft+ elevation, it was 95+ degrees out or what...but i jsut could not get out of the 15.00-15.15 range. I was also running traction control the whole time too. so who knows, but 15 runs is enough for one night. lol 60 ft times blew ass as well, oh well perhaps if i did the recommended 2900 rpm and dump it approach it might help, but im not about to try that thank you! lol

Gofast are you scared? if your scared, say your scared :D

Speedgirl if you have the slips for the 1/4 it will have 1/8th times posted on it.

I would go to the 1/4 but its 40 miles further away than my local 1/8th mile track.

Hey gofast one other thing. the mph will reflect the heat and altitude. 96 mph is slower than what others have run.

the time though IS ALL ON YOU and your track conditions.
my SVO runs 87mph in the 1/8 pretty consistant, but i have run anywhere from 8.80's to 7.80's in the time area. difference was also in slicks. hell the slicks alone i had a variance of 7.80's to 8.20's best on radials was a 8.50 @87mph

That is cool. I know I have looked at the 1/8 times before....just did not "mean" anything at the time. You know?? You have to drive 40 miles to get to a 1/4 mile drag strip? Too bad. :)
