Anyone swap out stock H7 headlights yet?

I've got the Mazdaspeed 3 Sport so I only have halogens. I was looking around for some hyper white H7 bulbs today but after looking at where they are located I was wondering how much of a pain it is to replace them.

dude ... it sucks

definitely a pain the effin ass, or fingertips at least since those clips are a real b**** - if you're going to do it, go ahead and go for HIDs, not worth it to just go for diff bulbs until they blow. and even then, get your asian friend - everyone has a token asian - to help you since he/she has smaller hands

and supposedly HIDs last 3x longer than stock

Yeah that's kind of how it looked. I know NOTHING about getting aftermarket HID kits and putting them in. My last car had them anyway. Has anyone out there just bought the HIDs that the GT some with?

I don't have the GT kit, but I went with apexcone and have nothing but good things to say -- www.therpmstore.com -- good price, awesome lights, esp since I remember when aftermarket HID lights were $1500 for lowbeam only

The difference between stock bulbs and HIDs are almost litterally night and day

i have silverstars in my car and like them over stock, but i have two complete sets of oem HID's w/ projectors that that are going in next as soon as i can man up and bring myself to take apart the headlights, funny i didn't have a problem doing it on my 10 year old honda

yea but they have grown old and im finally at the point in my life where it made sence to buy a new car, ive had.
