Anyone running the CPE HPFP

I was looking at this unit, and just wanted to get some reviews from people actually using the pump.

Really? I searched and found at least 6 threads over the last 6 months where people describe their experience.

The search fucntion here sucks under 2 circumstances.....

1. you don't use it...

2. searches for 3 or less characters. (ex: cpe)

Other than those two circumstances, it's actually pretty helpful, especially under the advanced search.

I would love to know where you're getting a CPE pump that cheap? CPE is good but at almost $700 it's overpriced for what it is. I would recommend the PTP Pump for half the price built. All you have to do is break it in and it works like a champ. At least that is my experience.

Well the PTP is lifetime warrantied as well. Though not bench tested the failure rate is very low (only 2 that I'm aware of) and even CPE has had a few failures. Bench testing does not equal 100% reliability. I'm not saying CPE is crap, they are good pumps for sure. However, $300 vrs $700 is a big difference.

The only downside is the PTP has to be broken in. I didn't have any concerns or issues with this but I know some people might and I understand. But paying $400 to have it broke in is just a bit steep I would think.

I got 300 because the charge is 600 from street unit, but 300 refund when you return the core, so I feel like this is a good route. Good name, lifetime warranty, and its broken in.

no its 900 and they give you 300 back with the core....

I actually emailed the guy at street unit and this is his reply. Maybe he is misinformed.

Unfortunately we do not sell just internals. We sell only the CP-e unit. The core charge is a charge of 300 dollars that is added on totaling the 600 dollar fee which will be refunded once you send us your old pump back to us. So in reality a pump will cost you a little over 300 once the core charge has been refunded.

if you go to **********'s site and add to cart, the price goes from the $600+ to $900+. so, unfortunately yes he was misinformed and its $600 after the core return
