anyone run a front mask/bra?

In 2 years when some one else owns the car I wont worry about the knicks on the front end.

Its normal wear and tear so for that reason I say let it happen and so be it but I do agree it sucks seeing new knicks every day.

From what I read the clear bra gets stained from bugs and wont look so clear in time. I wonder what it does to your paint when its removed as well?

I had my dealer install a product called venture tape. It's like the 3M tape, but they gaurantee that it will not stain from bugs and that it will not yellow over time. The company states that the tape will not harm the paint if you remove it properly, and if the paint is wrecked, they will pay to have it repainted. They recommend that you clean it periodically with a product called Plexus. This is something that you use to clean plastic motorcycle helmet visors without scratching. The install was really good. The installer showed me that (with a scrap of leftover tape) he couldn't push a screwdriver through it! Pretty tough stuff. It has saved my hood dozens of time because of all of the road construction (and the 35W bridge incident).

I'd have to recommend this to anyone looking for a clear bra.(yes)

Some films require more work and maintenance than others. I know for a fact that the 3M will get stained by certain acidic bugs ie the love bug, BUT they will bleach out and go away. happened to me.

The clear bra will look as good as you take care of it. Wash and wax like the rest of your car!!

From what we hear from customers the kits on Ebay are not good coverage, too many pieces and they feel ripped off. But each their own. If we can help let us know

I've ordered from Rock Blocker. Great product. I have the protection for my wifes Mazda3s HID headlights and fog lights. Been on for 2 years running and they still look brand new! Well worth the 60-70 dollars. I'll be buying a set for my Speed3 pretty soon.

As for the bra question, don't leave it on ALL the time. Just use it when you know you're going to be traveling long distances. I use the bra for our 3 when we travel from Cali to Texas and up north from San Diego. Easy to clean, and to take on and off. Wipe clean with soap and water, and use armor-all wipes to give it that spectacular shine!
