anyone play NFSU2 yet?

got mine on xbox , and ps2 this weekend after the month rental from blockbusters ... pimp . is all I can say .. I got so far just a Pimp'd 240 and lexus IS 300 both boosted ... its good .. life is good whn playing that game .. i just became a looser though and printed off like 30 pages of cheats from other sites lol

doing the "quick race" I scored 599,206 on one of the downhill courses using the "Corolla." It's one of the longer courses, but I don't remember which one. It helped tuning it (suspesion and tires).

that game rocks, there's just something about it that i cant stop playing...sprint and circuit get real annoying when your right down to the damn end and go into a blind turn and opps you just hit a car and lose. Whatever though pause restart 4 me. One thing i do hate about this game is how the camera view changes when you go over a hill.

go into options. turn off the "jump camera". that has always annoyed me since need for speed hot pursuit 2

I've got it for both PC and xbox. You should see the two side by side....no comparison in graphics, the PC rulez.

haha.. duh..

pc graphics will always be dominant.. although i do wanna see what doom 3 looks like on xbox compared to my pc version that i run with my x800pro

i just love actual console controllers.. so much better than controls in PC games..

ya the downhill drifts are nuts , their are some that suck to beat... i am 99% done with the game and cant figure out where the extra 1 % is , so i stopped playing it... once you get the c/f body kit and trunk you do not need all the rice stuff.... hydro's, spinners... i loved the game though..probally why i beat it in 3 days

Yeah a couple of the downhill drift courses have sorta like a driveway you can go thru on the side of the road. But they still consider them the side of the road. So you get more points for going thru there. There's 2 "driveways" you can go thru on one course and if you're good you can throw down at least a 130000 point drift in each one.

I think my biggest drift is about 180000. But one of my friends was over and put down a 220000 in one of those areas.

Nothing beats a keybard and mouse for fps...NOTHING. I can beat anyone on a controller, no matter how good they are when I'm on a keyboard. It is impossible to aim as quick and accurately with a joystick vs keyboard/mouse. I play games like Halo2 on xbox with the sensitivity on max, and I still find it too slow and lousy. Then there's the things like jumping/shooting at the same time, you almost need 3 hands to do some of it. with the kb I can jump/shoot/change weapons in mid air, spin around shoot someone behind me all on one go. with a joystick, forget it.

joysticks are great/better for somethings, but for fps it is not. companies are constantly trying to figure out a way to make a gamepad work with fps's, but they haven't done so yet. I'm predicting with the Nintendo DS, and it's touchpad, it won't be long before you see some sort of touchpad on a console gamepad. Even that is inferior to a mouse though.

btw, you do know you can connect the xbox controller to the PC right? and it works the same. All you need is the $5 adapter and some free drivers.

I wasn't referring to FPS. I meant driving games.

Yes, keyboard/mouse combo beats all controllers hands down for FPS games. I wish I had a keyboard/mouse setup for Halo2. I'd be so much better at it, lol.

And yes I know you can connect it, and the PS2 controller, and vice versa.. But I also don't have a 27" TV to hook up to my computer since you can't buy a 50ft S-Vid cable..

man oh man I got a schweeet Rx8 right now .. killer set up .. paint graphics, lights, ect .. boosted, level two suspension, stage 2 nitrous 20 inch konigs ... ill try to get some screen shots of her .. also got a sick 240 as well .. that supra sucks ass though .. cant friggen control it at all .. but i only put level 1 suspension and some dubs

i can't seem to let go of my miata. I got the supra, but I always drive the miata. Ironic, because that's what I did in the last NFSU as well.

I basically beat the first game and this one almost solely with the Miata. I did have to break down and build a drag car for NFSU2 because the Miata kept blowing up. At least this one can share the honor with the first one of having one of the most anticlimatic endings for a game.

if you changed the gearing under dyno testing, it probably wouldn't blow up during the drag race

yeah, that most likely would have helped. i always just used the preset for the drag mode. either way, it didn't accelerate near as quick as the other cars i was racing, so it made sense to use something i had actually unlocked and was a little more powerful out of the box.
