Anyone own these Seatcovers?

yes, at least two people have these seat covers on this site. In fact, the protege5 emblem on the covers in the ebay pic was added first by someone here on the site, it used to have this nasty emblem underneath it. In fact, knowing this company, it probably still does.

As I remember, the seat covers are just that, and not upholstery. They can wrinkle and the fabric can bunch up, and after sitting in one for a while, you have to pull the fabric back again to give it a smooth look. But I also remember that the person who got them was overall pleased with the look, at least that's what they said. Run a search for "seat cover" or "seat" and see what you come up with. Also, renaming the thread "Type X (Matrix) seat covers" should encourage those who have them to stop by.

Thanks Blyn. I did a search and actually got the seller's name from this board. I was hoping some other people might have them also. I imagine most seat covers will bunch up unless they are custom made. I want someo of those wet okole ones made in hawaii or the similar saddleman ones if they are cutom made for our Pr model.

click my www i have them in grey/bk

I have checked out your SD page. One reason I was considering them was they look good in your car. What is your opnion of their durability, comfort, fit, quality ? Do they stay well enough in place or are you always having to fox them? Anything else you might have to say about your experience with them. (hear ya)

I had mines on for 3 months now. Just like Blynzoo said,u have to fix it every now,and then. Also mines came with some marks on it,and u can't clean it off. Don't know how it got there. But for $25.00, I think it was well worth it! The install was kinda hard, cause i didn't know how to use the metal hooks that came with it. So i just hook it everywhere. hope this help!

depends on how you install them, if you do it right they will stay in place (mine don't move around) and they are hella tuff, also if you spill stuff on your seat covers they are really easy to clean off. its a universal seat cover so it won't fit EXACALY but its close. i recommend them but only if you take time to install them right or else it won't be worth it. installing them is the big thing

They are pretty good, I have them since May and I have received several ppl complimenting on them, 'cuase they thought those are real leather.

There are a few problems though:

1. They sometimes move after you seat on them for a while. (check underneath for tips)

2. They can get wrinkled, but still acceptable to me.

3. Your back seats can't do 4/6 split without taking the top part of the seatcover off.

4. The material is not very strong, becareful when you move heavy/sharp stuff on them.

5. Ugly emblems that come with them (check underneath for tips)

6. Only 2 headrest covers are included and they do not fit well. I would suggest you to not use them at all to get a more unison look.

A few tips with these seat covers:

1. you have to make a few holes to fit the metal bars on the headrests (front seats and back seats). Just small enought so they will fit through the plastic stop-catch things.

2. there are several ways to cover up the ugly Matrix or Type X emblem, a) remove those stitches with a sharp knife b) cover up with mp5 emblems from protege5online c) some fellow p5 owner here made quite a few custom made emblems which are shown on the ebay auction.

3. purchase some anti-slip sheet for carpets, you can get those from Ikea, or some office appliance stores. Cut them up and fit them under the bottom part of front seat covers, since they tend to move a lot.

4. those metal hooks included in the package are for you to hook the seat covers on to something in your car so they will stay. I suggest trial and error.

5. use some armor all for vynl and they will look like leather.

These are what I can think of right now, PM me if you have questions. Good luck!:D
