anyone know what this unconnected connector is for ? 2012 CX-9

it's right by the radiator in front of the engine oil dipstick finger ring,

is anyone else not connected ?

If I am looking at the correct location, mine is connected from a connector than runs from that location to the hood release. See my two pictures.

Thanks, I don't have these on my Touring, I see you have a GT, must be for headlight washer head or front parking sensors ?

No headlight washers or front parking sensors on 2012 GT. Not really sure what it is for except it appears to be connected someway to the hood release.

I'm missing that grey connector too ? looks like it a hood latch switch for alarm ?

ok, figured it out, those with alarm has the connector off the latch,

those without alarm don't have the latch connector, see here :
