that is the "Vacuum Delay Valve", and its connected to the VTCS system. some will tell you that you wont need to replace it, and that you can remove the VTCS system all together. if you want to replace it to keep your car 100% stock, the part number is 8574-20-309

Did you install it correctly? It's a one-way check valve, so if you installed it backwards, it would have that affect on it....I put a check valve in place of that delay valve but the car didn't idle or run right so I put it back.
