anyone know this msp?

it looks exactly like the 'extra' normal shift knob i've had sitting in my glovebox since i bought the car. probably the same ones they used for the p5's and the normal sedans.

Tell the dealer to replace those since they should have been in there anyways. Tell them to do it, I bet they will.

I would be VERY careful purcahsing a car like that. My car had Injen stickers on the side of it so I thought it might have been modded, but was completly stock when i purchased it. Well, 300 miles after i bought it, it blew up and mazda isnt covering my warrenty for what the previous owner "could have done" to the car. If it looks modded, and something goes wrong, dont count on mazda to even consider fixing it.

maybe it was broken into and those things were stolen, so they replaced what had been takin with some cheap s***

i actually have that shift knob in my glove box too... Not sure why it is there, but it is.

probably just form the dockside installation of all our stuff. some of the workers most likely just threw the old shift knob into the glovebox instead of throwing it away or whatever.

yep shane was supposed to pick it up today..went last night to check it out with him and he seemed very happy :)

You know what's funny...I had to run to Home Depot when I had my interior apart & I put that shift knob on ( since it's harder to put the Mazdaspeed knob back on) & now I shift better than I ever did. I'm not too thrilled with the look, but I believe in function over form, so I'm sticking with this until I can find a new one with the same shape & better looks.
