I have 150K miles on my 4D '02 Protege 2.0L, and I'm looking to replace parts and fix it to keep this baby running for another 150K miles (fingers crossed! lol).
I live in MN so I get quite a bit of rust on parts. Especially non-critical clamps/nuts/and bolts. So much so that I will have to dremmel the heads off some and back them out.
Is there a catalog, or list anywhere detailing the kinds of bolts, screws, and nuts needed for this vehicle?
Anyone know where I can get replacement bolts that meet or exceed OEM?
What's on the menu in the near future:
Oil pan (all bolts will need to be dremmel'ed & backed out).
timing belt (not rusted, but would like to replace ALL valve cover head bolts)
Exhaust Manifold heat shield cover bolts. These are totally rusted. I can't even tell they are bolts any more. I'm hoping I can clear the heads and still back these things out. Anyone know what bolts I need for these? there should be 4 (3 across top, 1 below under the O2 sensor).
Any ideas are welcome. Just looking for some brain storming so I can get headed in the right direction.
